Try a...different shop this time. Any old school muffler shop will probably charge $20 max to fix that.

I in the doubt JB weld will hold it through the first drive and definitely not after going over railroad tracks.

I'd just TIG that back on. Agree that JB Weld would not last at all.

The hanger doesn't have enough contact patch onto the exhaust tubing. The forces exerted on that small area during your driving are what caused it to break. Needs a longer hanger with more contact patch.

Shouldn’t the shop that I took it to have already done that?

take it to a decent muffler shop, any teenager could weld that up but hte reason jb probly isnt the move is how much grinding youd have to do, to clean up all those surfaces. real welding is the answer, imo.

Welding is the only "right" way.

    You could weld that.

or get a replacement catback. My TRD catback was like $150 lightly used.

seeing where this is on the truck give yourself a "high clearance" exhaust mod. chop that exhaust pipe off right before it flattens back out and then no need to re weld that mount back on, and hacksaw blade/ saw-z-all blade anyone can use. or if you want to get fancy use a cut off wheel!

but you could likely use JB weld that far back in the system but why not chop the pipe back

though it looks like that some kid of modified exhaust as the normal hanger back there is still in the pic on the frame.
