very nice but very different, a 2022 tacoma is not a museum piece
a lift kit is not a collectable

Point is, we do whatever the fuck we want with our money and our stuff and it doesn’t matter what other people think.

Mine may not be a '37, but it is an ALL ORIGINAL paint, chrome, wheels, engine/transmission.... 1950 E-Model and it is ridden most weekends.
All matching numbers. It does not leak, but it does mark it's spot.

    I also have an '83 FXRS, & 2000 FLHTP-I.

Dechromed about the only thing to dechrome on the SR. Replaced the 4x4 selector knob. (Just because I could. Paid with jelly beans.) First time pulling the dash off. The whole process didn't take much longer than watching the how-to video on AJT. Not an exact match, but I like it better than the 'what were they thinking' chrome ring.

Lots of judgmental D-bags on here. I'm actually quite surprised.

They're good for that, but I use them to keep my windows cracked open during the Summer without making it obvious that the window is open.

Received reimbursement for the tire. HA! :woot::yes:

All the fireworks stores in New Mexico and throughout Tennessee! Very tempting, but the Tacoma already has too much stuff.

Eastern TN was very nice on the drive out. So much that I'm tempted to go back for a few days and scope it out. The Buc-ee's in Crossville was nicer than the one in Sevierville. It rained the whole way through TN.

So far I've only made it to Asheville. The drive through the Pisgah National forest down into Asheville was pretty cool. Very green and scenic, but pouring buckets. AZ doesn't get much rain in comparison. Today I poked around Lake Lure and then Lake James in Nebo. Lake James is way nicer than Lake Lure imo.

Not the greatest pictures of and around Lake Lure, but it's something...

    Lake James...

Last, one of VLEDS switchback turn signal bulbs is dying out. Going to swing by an Autozone in the morning to see about finding some halogen bulbs for the time being. :hattip:

Did you know that the word "Pisgah" in the native languages is the word for mountain.

I snow ski on a mountain that carries the official name of Mount Pisgah. Think of it..
Mount Mountain. It must have been real confusing to be an early settler in New England.
Just across the river in New Hampshire, is Pisgah State park. It's just west of Mount Manadnock. I don't have a clue what manadnock means.... ;-)

What is all that green-ish fuzzy stuff on the hills? Seems I recall that from about 4 years ago. And those big rain puddles!

Asheville gets proper winter ... ice, snow, temperatures between 0 F and 32 F ... shocking! Lower elevations in NC get a few days in the 30s in winter but Charlotte NC only has about 10 snow plows in the barn.

And ... I was NOT kidding about the NC-specific car insurance and the no-fault treatment from police in accidents ...
