I've been talking to an acquaintance that has a ranch in eastern Oregon. 600+ square miles of fire damage at this point and uncontained. No telling how many cattle have been lost. He saved his cattle and his buildings... but lost 95% of his pasture and all his hay and fences. And he says he's in better shape than most. But hey... it's just cattle country so we really don't hear much about it.

Found something on the local CL for you Duane, asking $50, says the 3 burner is hard to find!
What say you Duane, yea or nay, in other words, collectable or junk!

As promised, here are some pics form Vintage Motorcycle Days in Ohio.

Arriving at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the event. Team Strange tour this year involves visiting race tracks so I get to kill 2 birds with one stone sort of.

AMA pulled a few bikes for their museum and put them on display under a large tent.

A British Motorcycle Club had their own tent nearby.

The show filed for the judged bike show.

These next 2 bikes were never imported into the US when they were produced. These 2 came in through Canada once they were over 25 years old and exempt form some of the laws and emissions.

2 strokes that were barely streetable race replicas. Sound like a very pissed off chainsaw.

On to the swap meet and vendor areas. Over 800 vendor sites.

This was on the bike of the friend I rode out with. This is just his mileage on BMW motorcycles. His overall total is even higher.

I'm going to say with as much as I got to see I likely missed just as much. Never made it to the motocross track at all or to the trials area. Flat track races were held 25 miles away at the Ashland Fairgrounds but your ticket covered that venue as well. Pic below is my total mileage from Friday morning at 7:15 until Sunday at 12:30 when I got home.

Nah, that’s a propane stove, more suitable for home use. Thank you for recalling.

Darn Duane, and here i thought it was something you needed!

Some cool pics. there Chuck, some of those old bikes are awesome.
If you look at my avatar, that's my uncle on a motorcycle in France in 1918, never met him, he died at 48yo from complications of mustard gas one year before I was born. He owned a Locomobile steam car, and some other neat old cars, wish I had been able to know him and hang out with him.

Wonder why the Durkee Fire in Oregon gets no mention on the news, guess cattle and grassland don’t matter?
Per the CalFire website, the Park Fire has over 4800 personnel now working the Fire. Wonder if that number will help due to the fuels, weather, terrain. ?

Interesting website for fires. Everyone stay safe! Colorado just had 3 start up. It’s that time of year and the extreme heat and dry weather isn’t going to be good this year!

    Good morning all. :pccoffee:

Thanks to everyone for complimenting my pics. Tried to catch the more interesting stuff. I had considered camping there instead of a hotel but had been warned you won't get much sleep with all of the hell raising that goes on after hours. Friends that were there posted videos on FB. Someone built a "burn out board" that looked like a wooden ramp with a block at the top to prevent rolling off and by the time Saturday night rolled around the damned thing was on fire from all the burnouts being done. Looked fun but quite noisy if you wanted to sleep nearby.

I am feeling extremely fortunate this morning! I retired 25 years ago today on a Friday. The next Monday we took off in our cab over camper for a 2+ month trip to Alaska.
I had high blood pressure and had been investing since about 12 years old. For fear of dying I chose to retire young. Upon returning from our trip, my bp was down to 124/76! I decided to be very conservative on my spending and have had a wonderful 25 years of retirement!
My bp is still around 124/76 at 76.
I am one lucky guy! I only wish everyone could be as lucky as me!
Wishing everyone a great day and may luck be with you!
