TRD Exhaust, Mobtown bolt on sliders and aluminum tailgate reinforcement, Reverse lights changed to yellow turn signals, LED pods added for reverse, ADD W1 oil catch can, Total Chaos bed reinforcement, rear diff breather to taillight mod, 12" combo led bars behind lower grill wired to high beams, Toyota led bed light kit, 400 watt anytime mod, SSO slimeline front bumper.

    Amen

Tacomas are also not loud for no reason. I've never understood the harley loud exhaust thing. They are way too slow for how much noise they make.

What’s the throttle for on a Harley? Volume control.

Harley and high RPMs is a conflict of terms.

Harley owners road trip, though. BMW takes second. Goldwing third.

I fail to see the connection between Harley and 3rd Gen Tacoma. Perhaps I lack imagination.

A ridiculous argument that may have some Merit if exhaust pipes were pointed forward.

And I do ride, from Harleys to Triumphs to Yamahas. There are idiots on two and four wheels alike across all brands.

The only similarity between a Tacoma and Harley I can think of are their low power to weight ratio and popularity with aftermarket.

Needs mid controls so you can actually ride and control the thing. Not just couch slouch all day.

some better rear shocks, handle bars, and get rid of the stupid pea shooter pipes, and then this Dyna is actually a really nice bike, so long it has the 103

    I have had:
    Road King
    Super Glide
    Sportster 883/1200
    Sportster (Ironhead)
    Buell Cyclone

Each one was low on power and with the exception of the Cyclone, the handling was pretty marginal.

Sounds like my Tacoma! (Which I also love.)

I’ve lost track of the number of Japanese motorcycles I’ve had. Faster… Better handling… Equally reliable in my experience…

Actually, I’ve been thinking of offloading my XSR900 for something like a 1200 Roadster.
Maybe the Tacoma’s fuel economy, leaf springs and drum brakes are making me nostalgic for something from the past!

3G's are ugly, noisy, temperamental and slow? I mean I didn't like mine but that's taking it a bit far IMHO.

I think in order to fully appreciate a 2G, one must first pay $50k for a 3G. I hate that I know this first hand, but..don't question your happiness my friend..enjoy it!

Nothing ridiculous at all about loud pipes save lives. If one can’t hear a motorcycle with loud pipes coming towards them, they are stone cold deaf. Or ignorant.

Loud pipes are a feature I would like on my on my F6B. That boxer engine just doesn’t emit the “potato-potato” resonance though.

It’s a joke. Loud pipes do nothing but piss off the entire neighborhood.

Lmao, I never got that one either. The trouble is usually in front of you, not behind where the pipes are pointing.

I used to ride dirt bikes back in the 70s, but i have always been terrified of driving motorcycles on the road. Therefore I don't!

    As far as the comparison to the 3rd Gen Taco;

Actually it's to be able to go back to the bar and bring BOTH fat girls home... with a fresh keg of beer.

My bikes are "truck broke" meaning they've never been in the back of a truck, and only ONE was on a trailer because of the multiple nail holes in the tires after an unlicensed, intoxicated driver let a bunch of roofing shingles slide off the back of his truck and onto black pavement at night. Got BOTH tires, too.

    I drive a Miata.

At any speed above stop/go traffic, motorbikes on approach do not overpower the radio in any of my cars, which is set at conversational volume. Motorbikes travelling away from the car rattle the windows, which does not help at all. If I'm making eye contact with a biker, I guarantee its because I saw you and not heard.

I will admit that I notice bikes with yellow foglamps from a much farther distance than a bike with a single headlight. I dont hear pipes until you are in front of my wing mirror.

    Just my anecdotal datum.

Multiple studies have confirmed both your findings re: loud pipes and yellow lighting.
