Ordered the kit. It arrived very quickly, obviously shipped the same day I ordered it. Had it installed and working in about 45 minutes, I took my time and double checked things as I went. If you have done it before, you could probably do it in 10 minutes. It looks factory and I couldn't be more happy.

I think Toyota was planning on lighting the switch at some point, mine even had a light blank installed, but for whatever reason, didn't.

Just put this in today and wanted to show you a pic with the wires soldered to the pins on the AC harness. Took me a little while to do (first time soldering in 20 years) but am happy with the way it came out. I think it looks factory installed. Thank you!

I'm buying this kit as it is a very good idea. Though, I would like to know if my idea would work:

Instead of soldering the wires directly to the switch case, I would not cut the wires and just run them from the board directly to the A/C harness, using quick-splices for the connection.

Is that ok to think it will work?

Edit: just ordered. ship it NOW NOW NOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
