but i don't consider that a hidden tax - tax is money they blatantly take/demand

I actually saw an interesting factoid the other day… currently 3 of every 4 dollars paid goes to national debt (money already spent in the past, the proverbial can we kick down the road).
(This is a non political statement, as I don’t care your affiliation, it’s just where we are and it isn’t likely to change with any significance regardless of elected party)
