Very Avalanche looking with those bed wings.

I'd never buy any stock Tacoma at that price. I can do a lot of things with that kind of money. Not a matter of having it or not. It's a matter of how to best use it.

Nice looking, but I'm not smitten. Certainly marketed for a specific buyer.
I did like that 1958 my dealer has. Cool color.

I'm hearing that USED cars are being financed for seven to eight years. I can't even imagine doing that. Having a car that you bought at 4 years old and then financing it for eight years. Finally paid off when it was 12 years old and has nearly 120k to 144k miles on it. Sure modern cars are really good about getting to 200k easily but that's just nuts.

I never paid attention to the dash in the uplevel trim trucks, but is that a gas door unlock button I see? Do the upper trim levels have a locking fuel door that the SR5 does not?

It's amazing how the ugly-as-fuu black snorkel just kills the aesthetics on this truck. Cheap plastic. Ugh. Some has to offer a better looking alternative. Too bad you can't just take it off. Huge hole in the fender.

Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
Looks great all around. Snorkel looks much better than the typical Safari and others. Hope the MPGs are similar to as stated. Having all that work done to it, with warranty and not having to spend a bunch of work doing the mods or finding someone competent will be very attractive to many.
This is a space ship compared to my 08. The fear of "more stuff to break" is a fallacy. All new vehicles would be filling up in the ditches if more was less reliable. I'll take SSRs over Mechanical Relays for most situations.
Only issue is the OME suspension. Would prefer Bilstein.
Few more years on my second gen and it will be tough to pick between one of these and a Tundra when the time comes.

Small minority of Tacoma customers. The Trailhunter is still new, but there aren't that many here who have expressed interest in buying a TH.

I read something about Bilstein producing the Trailhunter OEM shocks.

It looks like they were inspired by the Wescott designs Instagram and just cut and pasted the pictures, and said "OK without making the truck crappy by using a lift kit, what can we do to make this thing look like the most gratuitous Tacoma? Make it happen. Unlimited bolt on cheat code unlocked."

I like it. It's excessive, stupid, completely over the top. It's just gratuitous. It's a cookie cake with frosting on top of frosting and then cherry syrup all over it.

I (literally) followed the guy driving it into the showroom to take those pix. One of the dealership’s valets was immediately onto it with Speed Shine and a microfiber cloth. They were doing the exterior first and hadn’t looked under the hood when I grabbed those shots.
Doesn’t mean they *did* detail the engine bay, but fershure they hadn’t had time when I was there.

It probably looks better dirty since it's a Trailhunter lol. The thought of the guy shinning it up in the showroom is funny, but what else is a new car dealer going to do?
