Ok guys and girls, I hope you all are doing well here’s the issue:
So after a lot of “Googling” and advice from you intellectual and knowledgeable people. I made the decision to mount the YoKo Geolanders (285-75-16) the tire guy said “They’ll be GREAT, No tire rub at all”
They are great. They give me excellent traction off-road, perform surprisingly well in snow, and a very quiet ride on the pavement. However, when I turn to the left or right through A dip or hole, they rub on the lower inside bottom of the fender well just in front of the doors. I can’t really afford to replace the suspension, or new tires, so I was wondering if you guys could suggest some kind of lift spacers and rear end leveling kit that will work and not break the bank.

I have FOX 2.0 adjustable coilovers in the front. Fox 2.0 in the rear.
Any advice with sizes and links to your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
This is not for looks. I drive pretty slow off-road, but do go through some pretty rough terrain and the suspension gets worked.

Have you had your cab mount chopped? You may want to Googoo that too

Is it just rubbing on the plastic fender liners? I had to ziptie mine back a bit and no longer rub, but mine are only 32s so a bit smaller. I think it is expected to rub a bit with with 33s and need to do minor cutting or massaging, depending on how much caster you run and how much travel you actually are using.

An alignment with more caster that can push the wheels a little more forward is an option as well.

Post your last alignment sheet and see where it was at.

    3" toytec lift 285/75/17" tires
I have almost same issue, its a rabbit hole u can cut your fenders, but have to remove liners. Intake is ported right above passenger tire and will be exposed, snorkel befor trim. If u can chop and weld cmc will not cost more than the plates to weld on. Are you rubbing anything else? UCAs also check if your stabilizer bar is hitting or sitting on shock, if you removed will help a lil, toytec also has taco lean spacers I know they are not recommended but are only 1/4 thick may not hurt but help greatly. I am honestly thinking of going that route

I had my CMC (cab mount chop) before putting 285/70/r17’s with no lift on! There is very likely someone local to you who would have experience in doing that job specifically. I did not have to remove my factory fender liners although they were cut a little. The more someone has done this job on Tacomas the better imo. S/o to BuiltbyBruno in FL! Super solid work and great expertise.

If I were you I would try to determine exactly where you’re rubbing first. The best way I know how to do this would be to drive down a gravel road, then cause the rub, you should then able to see where the fine layer of dirt has been now rubbed off. This will indicate exactly where you’re rubbing.

Depending on how severe that rub is, would determine your next steps. If it seems like it’s barely rubbing then moving the wheel forward in the well could be enough. I’m not sure if adding a spacer to your lift would help very much. From my understanding, this type of rubbing at full turn is better solved with cutting instead of lifting. Is a spacer going to move the wheel/cab (cab I guess, but easier to think of from the wheel perspective imo) enough to make a significant difference ?

I think I’m going with the Cab-Mount-Chop. I’ve Googled the Sht out of this 2day, and that seems to be a good place to start, since that’s where the Rub is.
I’ll post picks of the process.

Thanks Guys for the input from you all. I knew this was the place to get advice.
