After just going through a child care class, as my wife and I are expecting, they say the logic behind not using both LATCH and seatbelts is for the simple fact that when these safetly seats are crash tested they use one or the other. Therefore the ratings are based on either/or and not both. The car seat experts say you never want to add anything to your seat or use it in any way that is wasn't tested by the manufacturer. Hope this helps!

BTW...i'm going to have this Chicco seat in the back of my double cab in about 9 weeks!!!

My question is...do you have to have the front seat up far? I'm 6'3" and hoping to have the seat placed behind me on long trips to the beach in order to have my beagle's crate on the 60% fold down behind the passenger seat.

I put my little boys car seat (front facing) in the middle of the back seat so that I don't have to move the seat up. When I put my grandson's (rear facing) seat in I have to move the passenger seat up quite a bit. I don't think you are going to be too comfortable if you are 6'3" sitting in front of the baby seat.

They say middle is best because of side impacts.

I reached this milestone today :

So I went to the dealer for a check-up. Had the oil and filter changed. They refilled with 0-20 oil. They also rotated the tires and gave her the complimentary wash. While there went to the showroom and snapped these pics of a Prerunner on the floor. Was in the showroom so I don't have a pic of the whole truck. :( Sticker price was $38,000 and change.

    WELLLLL
today I ordered the allpro front and rear bumpers, and sliders, and hitch, and switches from OTRATTW. Excited to get the bumpers and sliders on, my black fender flares will look sweet with the new set up! glad theyre unpainted! Installing LED strips under the bed rails for visibility tomorrow. A couple of days ago, installed the new kenwood nav unit, and my new viper 2way alarm, color remote, really sweet, although a little bulky.

Anyone else interested in a BED LIGHT switch from OTRATTW??? I'd really like to have them all labeled correctly, and they said theyd make them if there was interest! I KNOW people have lights in their beds, come on, lets be heard! I have the fog lights, and rear lights ordered, using just a blank one for the bed lights. But would love to have the right one.

Still waiting to find out if my damn Dupont bed liner will stick to the composite bed!!! anyone know about this??? I want to only do the raised portions of the bed, and the tops of the sides as well.... extra grip, and I hate the idea of a rubber mat, so save it, lol...

alsoooo set up a couple group buys, red line tuning hood struts, and the retro fit source HID projector kit set up. Check them out!!!

edit: totally forgot to mention my leather seats! black and tan, TRD logos, heated front and back, cant wait to get those in! should look amazing...

    Busy day!!!

I need to replace a head gasket - have all the parts to do it - but since it's something I've never done have been procrastinating the heck out of this task. *sigh* In the meantime, I've been riding the bike in to work every day and letting 'er sit and collect dust.
