In Wilmington NC is the WWII battleship USS North Carolina. Normal tour is fun, self guided. "Hidden Battleship", held just a few times a year lets you tour the engine room and climb the mail masts/towers. And Charleston SC has "Patriots Point", with the WWII destroyer USS Laffey, WWII aircraft carrier USS Yorktown.

Been there, done that ... would do it again!

Got rid of my OEM trifold hard cover.


Back to basic! Now i can buy the roll up cover!


It crazy how much one side of rail is. $160 part and another $100 for shipping. Especially the no cut protector cost more than cut protector cover.

 

Gave her a bath, just got it back from the dealership. Had the 3rd brake light recall done and took it there for a really bad squealing for the 4th time. Finally gave up and took it in to Toyota. So far no more squealing. If it does it again I'm trading it in for a ZR2 Bison Colarado.

 

So what was Squealing?

 

The lower idler pulley that's been replaced twice already.

 

Im not so sure the vast majority of folks driving Tacomas are struggling to make their monthly payments.... Just sayin

Interesting theory. I will say, though, that one of those two, @RichochetRabbit actually adds to the community. Anyone can be a jackass on any given day, some just are that way all of the time.

 

Mavcoat once a year ... I've had a couple frame replacement 1st gens... I used mavcoat on this 3rd gen and so far everything is clean and rust free. We haven't been getting harsh winters in NJ like we used to though.

 

Trimmed back my factory front mud flaps so that my tires would quit rubbing on them. I marked the cut area and used a Dremel to cut it. I retained 3 of the 4 original bolts. The inner portion of the mud flap isn't supported now but it seems fairly stout regardless. We'll see how it holds up over time. The good news is that I got rid of the rubbing on tight turns and reversing.

 

Always. It's a running joke with my wife now that I keep posting her feet pics on the taco forums.

 

Are my eyes messed up? Or is the truck cab invisible?

 

It must be one of those rare 3rd Gen Tacoma convertibles!

 

Yeah I took the cab out as part of the overlander conversion, only a few bolts - it was pretty easy.

 

Relocated my dashcam lower and behind the rearview mirror. I had *some* reason I will remember ...

Maybe because of the window tint (50/5) ... ? AZ does get slightly sunny and warm ...
