Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Interesting theory. I will say, though, that one of those two, @RichochetRabbit actually adds to the community. Anyone can be a jackass on any given day, some just are that way all of the time.

Oh there will be some mods all right
Lol. I can assure you that members being rude and combative to each other in a flame war does not help this site whatsoever. We have to continually babysit, delete posts, and or hand out bans. None of us has enough extra time on their hands to talk to ourselves with burner accounts. There are just a lot of people who feel like they are prime Mike Tyson when they get behind a keyboard and talk/behave in a manner that they wouldn't even consider doing in real life.

Mavcoat once a year ... I've had a couple frame replacement 1st gens... I used mavcoat on this 3rd gen and so far everything is clean and rust free. We haven't been getting harsh winters in NJ like we used to though.

Trimmed back my factory front mud flaps so that my tires would quit rubbing on them. I marked the cut area and used a Dremel to cut it. I retained 3 of the 4 original bolts. The inner portion of the mud flap isn't supported now but it seems fairly stout regardless. We'll see how it holds up over time. The good news is that I got rid of the rubbing on tight turns and reversing.

Always. It's a running joke with my wife now that I keep posting her feet pics on the taco forums.

Are my eyes messed up? Or is the truck cab invisible?

It must be one of those rare 3rd Gen Tacoma convertibles!

Yeah I took the cab out as part of the overlander conversion, only a few bolts - it was pretty easy.

Relocated my dashcam lower and behind the rearview mirror. I had *some* reason I will remember ...

Maybe because of the window tint (50/5) ... ? AZ does get slightly sunny and warm ...

Got sick of the tiny radio knobs already. I saw a post about using knobs from a RAV4, but first I thought I'd try 3D printing some. Found these on thingiverse, and added the recess to the front for a bit more style. I may still do the RAV4 knobs at some point, but these will do for now.

    Original for comparison.

    This and that
I thought the bed was just off the truck sitting in some foil covered room. Very confused for a minute until I saw the tire.

I was just complaining about these knobs yesterday. Why in the world did they make them so small?

upload_2024-8-1_5-52-35.jpgBout the only time I get to flip up my tonneau lol. So far it’s doing fine. Anything that wanted to fall off or “unstick” has been re adhered and everything seems to be holding up fine on it.

Looks great! What brand of tonneau do you have? Does it rub against the back window when folded up like that?
