What kind of establishment is Buc ee’s? By the mascot, I would guess either a hardware store, or, a beaver burger joint.

I need to get out of that habit. It's usually when I connect my phone to turn on Spotify that I immediately reach for the volume knob.

If I need to fold up the last flap, I just take the cover off completely. It's easy enough.

Purchased Toyota Certified, with Vijay bumpers, additional lights, and Falken Wildpeaks on Fuel rims. Prev owner apparently painted the grill.
    It's....

    It's a gas station.

Ya know how , like say a Sheetz station is bigger than your average 4 pump station?

Buccees is like if Sams club and Costco got together and said, "Sheeeet, Sheetz, we gon' show you how to do urban sprawl. Bobby, fire up the dozers and the paving machines."

I've been to one. There were 100 gas pumps. There is a store - with several registers. Bigger than some Walmart stores I've been in. You drive up and it takes a fair amount of time to simply process the sheer enormity of it.

I think it is like a European coming to America and trying to take in just how bloody big our country is. It just keeps on going.

It's like Costco's version of a gas station/truck stop/car wash/rest area. All kinds of food made on site along with regular pre-packaged expected items, lots of souvenirs, Joe Diffie/country music playing loud, ect. It's pretty common in TX and throughout the midwest. The food is surprisingly good. Not anything one would normally associate with a truck stop/gas station. I'd never been before, but a family member highly recommended stopping at one.

edit: Maybe I should have just called it the Wally World of convenience stores.

An American gas station on rampant steroids. They are also known for clean restrooms. They have an employee cleaning them constantly.

When I lived in NC/OH Sheetz was better than smaller-footprint places. Smaller places have roller-food at 3 AM. Sheetz you can order at 3 AM like you can at McGreasy or BKLounge at 6 PM. And cleaner than some of the small-footprint ones allow it to fall just because they can.

No judgement, I hate money too.
I’m sure if I posted what I paid for the last knife I bought there’d be plenty of people sharing opinions

I opted for the sticker. It just goes over original button. 30 second install. Illumination still works. You can't tell it's a sticker. $15. It wasn't that I couldn't afford the complete switch, it was the principal.

I'm sure it looks fabulous & no one will ever know but believe it or not, not everyone follows your principles or takes shortcuts haha

FWIW I wanted the MESO button, but they were asked to stop making them by Toyota

Wow pretty judgemental ! I wasn't asking for an opinion or saying anyone should follow my principle, for sure not you. Just sharing what worked for me. By the way I don't take shortcuts as I am capable of changing a button. Have been doing virtually all work on dozens of vehicles for 50+ years.

AWE Exhaust, KARTBOY exhaust hangers, custom 1/0 exhaust grounding, lots of Titanium hardware from my old builds, silly JDM bits from my old Subaru builds, Uniden Bearcat Off Road CB, Firestik 2 w/custom CF mount, custom KARTBOY plate frame with Rigid Ind Spot on ball head mount, Yakima Mega Warrior w/custom CF cross brace. ARP extended studs (not installed yet), Optima Red Top, Siless Insulation in cab. Diode Dynamics LEDs throughout... More titanium fasteners. K&N intake snorkus delete. Greddy hose clamps throughout. DBA 4000XS Brake Rotors. TRD PRO fogs. Dakine Tail Gate Pad. More to come of course.
I've finally replaced every piece of hardware, in the bed, with something nicer. Lots of titanium. I could not quite figure out what to do with the OEM bed bolts. A Ti bolt that size would cost more than a Big Mac in California. (That $20 minimum wage thing has made stuff crazy here...) Anyway, long story short, I bought some and smashed the washers off with a socket and a hammer. Purchased Ti washers for them and sent them out to be powder coated. My ADHD kills me.
Coated the spare tire cage as well. The bed will look pretty sharp and have minimum corrosion issues. Very happy. Prismatic Black Chrome is my new favorite powder. SO sharp.
