Sheriff/NWS just issued high heat alert with flash flooding do to thunderheads. There's no fog, but its almost foggy-looking outside my window. I may actually get some of that "rain" thing happening this afternoon. Better today than after I (plan to) wash Luna this weekend.

Happy Thursday everyone. Its toasty outside, thankfully the AC is working in the house. It looks like Andy has a great spot for a vacay!

Nope. Had to look it up since I didn't know..... took off during covid when one girl "ducked" a jeep she liked and it took off from there

That sounds perfect about now!!! Heat index of 108* or so.

Evening gang. One big one and 3 smaller tree roots 15 - 20' long dug up and removed and hole filled back in and I'm so done!!!

    Good Morning!
Off to my brother's house to finish off the grounding on the new panel.
50 year old Bulldog Pushmatic; I finally got him to let me replace it.

old panel with new wood backer-
    452853239_10230100905578830_6110805964283072454_n.jpg

    new panel back-fed-

waiting for utilities to pull meter so I can swap main feed to new panel.
I used to be able to just call and tell them I was cutting seal and pull meter
myself. Now it takes an act of Congress.

Wow, looks much nicer. Is that new one a square D? The one I’m dealing with at the cabin is an old CH, with common/ground bar only on the left, which makes it hard sometimes when installing wires on the right.

I usually go with Square D QO but that panel was over $100 more than the Siemen's. I like Siemen's for the already installed separate ground bar, panel cover hanging tabs[hands free cover install], and user-friendly plug on neutral bars.
I never liked CH breakers because the plastic feet that lock in the panel easily break off making it a useless paperweight. Cutler Hammer BR breakers are 'GE style' and more cross compatible.

You can always install/add a separate ground bar in the panel to free up wire spaces.
