    I think in the context of 80s/90s turbos and control equipment maybe. I think we've done better in modern times without it, hence no one doing it anymore.

    What's your plan for wastegate duty cycle management since you control both turbos with one valve but the turbos are spooling at different times. This all gets weird without precontrol I think.

    If I set activation psi sufficiently above the bypass threshold (lets say 4psi), there shouldn't be noticeable interference. So the control sequence would be something like:
    1. Ride turbo 1 up to WG pressure - 14psi -> WG control active at 10psi, open at 14psi, spool assist prior to 10psi
    2. Load limit (MAF) of turbo 1 approaches -> turbo 2 flap starts opening via ECU, psi wants to drop due to lost exhaust pressure on turbo 1 but we control opening via PID to maintain around 10psi combined until fully opened -> WG inactive
    3. Turbos 1 and 2 now fully coupled and WG reactivated at 10-14psi

    What would be interesting is the feeling around the transition and tuning it. Would there be a lull due to the psi drop and recovery, would it be linear because psi drops but mass airflow is still increasing? Could I push turbo 1 to much greater psi up to a torque limit and gradually drop pressure over the whole RPM run as turbo 2 kicks in (MAF -> torque)? Imagine a torque plateau at 2k-redline.

    In my experience there is a weird lull/pressure drop as second turbo comes online, it can be minimized but not removed. Torque management would be tough without the 2500T since all your methods of torque output control would have to be hand jammed to some degree, none of the canned features exist in the regular 2500. What's the goal here? Or is it just throwing science at a wall and seeing what sticks, I'm all for that just not on something I drive regularly haha.

    To demystify things and since I seem to be doing a large amount of 2RZ/3RZ/5VZ initial setup, basemapping, and initial tuning I have decided to make a video series on setting up a new Haltech PnP install and getting it ready to be drivable. I have a 2RZ scheduled in a couple weeks so I can cover the 4 bangers too. Not that anyone in here really needs this, but I figure new folks will find this thread and it may help them decide if the whole thing is for them if they can see all the steps and what will continue to need work or a final tune from someone else.

    That'll be a great help for the community! Would be great to have some sort of video coverage on that to sort of demystify the initial setup tuning part of getting into a standalone setup on these trucks. I know I sure would have appreciated it starting out

    Thanks to Zanes wizard skills the truck is running. It was a little rough when we first started it but as soon as I started it up the second time it smoothed right out.

    First this I noticed is that the blower motor only turn on if it's on high so it's all or nothing for the air conditioner/heater at the moment

    I think the coolant and intake temperatures are a little off now too. The intake is trying to convince me it's 46° and the coolant temperatures is reading around 112°

    The coolant and intake temperatures appear to be reading correctly in NSP but it's definitely wrong on the Scanguage.

    Yeah I think it it's because the pull-up is on. Maybe @treyus30 will comment cuz he's one of the only other people I know that runs the haltech as a piggyback. I can't remember if the pull-up should be on or if the stock computer provides it

    As having an auto myself, you will be finding several things like this. With the ScanGauge connected to the OBDII port, there will be some things like coolant temps, that the OEM computer will have no clue as to what's actually happening.

    The only pull-ups I know of involve hanging from a metal bar or come with a warm moist feeling in the middle of the night
