Hey all! I’ve got a 19 TRD OR, it has a 3” lift, I did the ECGS bearing replacement lately. I’ve only owned it for a month so not certain if it’s normal, but around 30 mph it makes almost a rumbling sound and has a bit of vibration. It doesn’t matter if I’m on the gas, braking, or coasting, it’ll do it. It’s actually worse when I’m on the brakes compared to when I’m speeding up. Leaning towards wheel bearing possibly? Any ideas or suggestions on what to look at? Thanks!

Drive straight down the road at this speed of noise, turn the wheel slightly to the right & left if noise increases or decreases this is a wheel bearing. Option # 2, jack up all four wheels. Remove a anti-lock brake sensor wire on one wheel or abs fuse /relay what ever so the abs & traction control will not activate, start it up IN 4WD, put it in gear with a friend raise the speed up to 30 to 40 put your hand on a coil spring at this speed and see if you can feel a rumble feeling in the spring if you can replace that bearing..note: this worsens when you apply the brakes because you are putting more weight on the front of truck..also with wheels off the ground grab the wheel at the 12 & 6 o'clock position see if there is any movement, should have zero lash..

It seems to lessen when turning right, it doesn’t completely disappear but it lessens. I’ll confirm for sure on the way home today. I can definitely do it myself, I’ll just do the whole hub since it’s easier.

Could be a warped brake rotor possibly also if only feel it up front

I would think simply press & holding down the VSC button overhead would do the same thing.
But yeah, sounds like wheel bearing to me also.

From what I’ve read on here front bearings are common failures. The fact that it changes when you turn is a good indicator.

Never ended up figuring this out. Sound happens around 30 and 60, it does not change pitch at all. It’s just a consistent sorta rumble sound. Thinking it might be scalloped tires.
