Personally I’m ready for early Fall… upper 70’s during the day… shorts and a hoodie… bonfires in the evenings… that sounds great to this guy!

 

Ditto! That's when I plan on putting the tent back on the truck.. I miss camping two weekends a month

Amen to that! Wifey and I are going to measure the front deck of the pontoon (w/o the fishing seats) and find a tent that’ll fit on it. We used to camp on the islands at Whites Ferry (south of Point of Rocks) with a bunch of other friends that had boats as well… that was a blast! Camped in woods and beaches as well, but never actually ON a boat. So we are pretty excited about that.

Let’s say I could get something new for my truck. Thinking of a few things I don’t need but would like to have, in no particular order.

DIY Wrap to green

New front coil overs (replace Ironman FCP)
king 2.5 adjustable
Billie’s 8100 adjustable
Dobinsons MRR adjustable

Roof Rack, transmission and transfer case skid plates.

Sport hood

regear to 5.29 (buying assemblies from ECGs and swapping them myself.

as stated, I don’t need to do any of these things but they are some of my wants for the truck. Putting money toward payoff is an option too but I’ve got a really low interest rate so that’s low priority

 

I vote the rack, skids and hood.

That said, the truck is already lifted and looks great… so as long as the front suspension doesn’t have an issue, I say run it until it’s physically time to replace. Unless you’re jumping to 35’s and redoing the whole suspension, I believe the stock gears are doing you well. Plus, I didn’t see tires on your list… lol. As per the wrap, ehh! I believe I’ve heard you talk a few times about how much you love the black paint with blue flake. Plus, DIY wraps never come out the way you expect. Every nook and cranny, crease and seal… just sounds like an absolute nightmare! YouTube videos on how to remove wrap after sun baking a couple years. Let’s just say it involves a drill with an abrasive brush attached. The paint underneath never survives. There’s a mega-thread on here for hood swappin’… you could def follow it and snag a scooped hood. They are always popping up, and most people just wanna even up swap. Some ask for a couple bucks added in. I think a hood, roof rack and skids would completely change the look and use of your truck… not to mention, give that feeling of a fancy new toy to play with!

…so that’s my vote anyway.

 

Speaking of the sport hood… would anyone want to trade their scoop out for my normal off-road hood? I have a 2022 white taco and am looking to see what the options are for getting a hood scoop. If anyone has advice on places to shop for one let me know thanks!

just got new tires last month, went with 285/75/16 Baja Boss ATs and they’re awesome, both looks, ride, rocks, mud and rain.

I like your line of thinking. I’ve been in the mega thread since I’ve owned my truck and have had a few sport hoods slip through my fingers lol.

My wife doesn’t trust my wrapping skills so that is probably out. The metallic black is an awesome color but something about a nice dark metallic green is very tempting.

the IM is a set that might be around a long time. It’s a little too stiff for my likings but I think your thought process is pretty good.

Wife is 100% against me cutting my truck till it’s fully paid off, so that nixes a snorkel and bumpers too, which I’d be interested in.

That might just leave getting a Prinsu and then Cali raised transmission and transfer case skids. I have their engine skid already. I did worry about hitting rocks last time I was off road. I know the engine skid hit a few times.

I didn’t add it but the axle dump exhaust and reroute might be a consideration too.
