Love the look of this, are there any pics of the camper configuration on a real truck? Don't find many campers like this designed for the short bed.

Price looks very reasonable as well, unless I'm misinterpreting pre-order pricing. ~$2500 for this is really decent.

Figured that was too good to be true lol, eager to see some pics of it on your truck when it arrives!

Nice that you can get it piecemeal though, even if the final cost is about the same. Plus less shipping cost.

This has been flooding my IG and FB feeds lately. I like the idea of it being modular, I don't like that the full height rack/cap sits a good 4 or 5 inches higher than the cab. Instead of making it sit higher to accept the RTT, leave the frame/cap at roof height and include a taller base on the RTT should someone want an RTT.

    I'd imagine that's why there's a 15" and a 21" height version.

But the 15" version does not show as compatible with the RTT.

After measuring, the 21" wouldn't even be enough to clear the sharkfin antenna on the 3rd gen, and roof height would be about 19.5".

These also looks very similarly built like the packout campers https://packoutcampers.com/ too. All these etrusion types campers/racks are pretty but the same thing we just need someone to start selling just the brackets

Not really - the biggest thing about this one is that they'll send it to you flatpack vs 'going in for an install'.

I did the pre-order full purchase last week.. still waiting to see products and accessories for it such as an awning mount, as I have a larger 270 awning. I plan to do the full height topper, and eventually get the camper (tent) later on next year when it is released. I like the concept, and the idea of the rack being modular to fit my needs.. I do see myself running the topper configuration 99% of the time. and if the swapping on and off of the rtt are easy enough I will flip flop between the two.

After talking to XO's CS yesterday, it sounds like there will be a way to mount RTTs to the topper with either a roof rack (height over topper roof not stated) or "to the T-slots on the sides of the topper using our rooftop tent brackets" (which I'm presuming is lower profile).

You have a link to the video? Looks like it's the same tent I'm using.

Looks good. I'm curious how strong those flush mounts are when clamped at either end of the topper like that with just one bolt on each rail, though. Since it looks like there's horizontal T-slot on the topper roof itself, it would be nice if there was a way to do some sort of lateral support at those locations.

I am pretty confident on the rigidity of this flush mount method since I have had their rack over my Tundra's softopper before, mounted many things this way and never had any problem, although none of them were over 130lbs in weight. The vertical weight should not be any problem since the entire top of the topper mode has basically 4 horizontal bars sharing the load, evenly since its just sitting on top of them. For lateral holding strength, I think it maybe a good and simple idea to just add more plate/bolts to either side of the flush mount brackets on the rear/forward facing side of the bars so they are doubled up in terms of preventing sliding sideways.

Totally agree about those mounts looking great if they double up on the hardware. How far do they stick out front to back from the extrusion on your setup? My main concern is the tent being too close to the cab and OEM 3rd brake light at the 15" height, since theres no way to standoff the tent a set distance like with a typical bedrack (I think I have mine set about 1.5" back at the closest point on my 14" Yakima rack). Less so for normal use than hard wheeling with bed flex, of course.

I'm just hoping they offer a longer crossbar so that I can mount my 270 awning with this flush mount bracket.. I have had my FTT secured to my current rack with only 4 bolts no issues so far. but with the addition of the 270 awning I may want to see a larger 4020axtrusion... or add a second set of wider rails on my RTT to spread the load,, see how that raised mount/crossbar extrusion flexes and touches the top? that will wear through any coating quickly... luckily the system is modular so you could easily remove it, and get it recoated without having to rebuild the entire rack...
