Good morning. Thunder and rain woke the dog up around 2 a.m. I had to take her downstairs to her hiding spot so I spent the rest of the night on the recliner.

Good morning everybody! I worked around the house some yesterday and couldn’t stand it anymore about 2:30/3 I hooked the boat up and went fishing. It was hotttt but I did catch one missed another and had one break me off. IMG_3188.jpg
But I’m glad I went I have new batteries running the 24v trolling motor all that works great. But I need to replace the cranking battery before I go trolling with the gators and cottonmouths. With the radio and electronics running for 3 hours the motor cranked pretty slow. Good thing I went local first.

    Since you asked.... :)

I have recently started applying for low pay temp jobs that will at least help us pay some of the bills, until I get a "real" job. Remote Data Entry, Call Center type jobs. So I got a response back on a Data Entry job, they sent me a link for a MS Teams virtual meeting to interview. So we get into the interview, they asked a ton of questions about my experience working remotely, keeping in touch with team mates/manager, can I handle working at home with no distractions...... all sounded perfectly legit. Then the person explains the company will ship me all the office equipment I need for the job - new laptop, printer/fax/scanner, shredder,...... And then comes the tip off it was a total scam. The woman asks "Do you have a personal credit card?"....... I asked why that would matter. "Oh, well, the company will pay off your existing balance, and then you use your card to purchase all the office equipment I told you about". She even gave me some alleged bank info for the company, told me to use that info to transfer money from the company to my credit card to pay it off. I went to the bank web site she mentioned, and the back, and routing number she gave were in fact valid. So I told her "Look, I have a doctor appt in a few minutes, but as soon as I get home I will transfer the money to pay off my card as you instructed", and I left the Teams meeting. I immediately looked up the company info on their web site, and called their HR department. I gave the "name" of the person I had been interviewing with, and asked if it was indeed their policy to ask the employee to use their own person credit card to purchase company equipment (I knew it would not be). The HR person I was on the phone with laughed, and assured me that is not their policy, and that no such person works in their HR department, And, they are hot hiring any such data entry positions anyway. I saved a bunch of screen shots from the Teams meeting, I forwarded them to the HR person to send to their Security team.

Good morning! Today's storms went through before daylight. I got up then to calm a scared dog. All better now.
When your health has been in the crapper for 4+ years, the day you make a HUGE sudden breakthrough, it's reason to celebrate. Most of that time it's been impossible to get in the bed of my truck. At best, on a good day, I could use a step ladder and someone's help.

I just stepped up (without ladder)waxed thecab roof, and stepped down with no help.

Might seem trivial...but it made my day. All I had to do was quit taking my BP med I've been on the entire time. Once again, BPis great without it.

Hope y'alls day is as great as mine!
