It's takes a spark to start a fire. I have little doubt they are all caused by humans, unintentionally. Cigarettes, camp fires, carelessness. Hard to believe that someone would do something like that intentionally but this world is full of shitty people, and it's hard to rule out that possibility completely.

Lets get back to the fact that there is a new fire every day. Intentional.

And the fact there is someone wanted for arson just last month.. Each of these fires also seems to have easy accessibility to where they originate from.

Just also throwing out a few of the top fires Colorado has had have been by arson and/or human caused

#1 Largest, Cameron Peak: 2020, speculated human cause as there was no lightning
#2 East Troublesome: same year, likely human caused
#5 Hayman back in 2002: arson
    #7 Spring Creek 2018: arson

    I'm a Hanlon's Razor kinda guy I guess.

There officially an arson investigation for the Quarry Fire, so you've got that one at least.

Really if a fire is human caused in a way that could of been prevented they should be charged with arson.. but that's just me

I agree, there are no "accidents".
If you are playing with fire in the forest knowing it can burn, then it's arson.
    Burning love letter, arson
Lighting a campfire during a fire ban, because entitlement, arson.
Tossing a butt out the window, arson.
Hot exhaust making contact with dry grass, arson. We all really need to think hard about this one when we park off the trail. Forest Service even warns against this one.

I have one of those solo stoves in the backyard that is on a concrete patio, but close to dead grass. I intentionally moved it because I didn't want a concentrated reflection on the grass. I wonder if a soda can or glass bottle with enough sun could ignite a fire?

Yes they can. Buildings have burned to the ground because of decorative window displays in the sun.
A glass bottle on the ground can concentrate the rays same as a magnifying glass burning ants.

I wouldn’t classify the Haymen one as arson. Wasn’t it accidental due to that idiot ranger burning her letter in the worst possible conditions?

She was charged with arson but there was no intent to start a wild fire. Just pure idiocy.

I had a flight delayed coming into COS a few years ago because of a fire near the airport that started this exact way, by a law enforcement officer's squad car of all things.

A big contributor to the spread of the Waldo Canyon fire was a flaming deer running across Rampart Range Road, which was serving as a fire break at the time.

Yeah she didn't intentionally mean to start a wildfire but look at the destruction from it. Which is why I'm in favor for charging for arson

Interesting. Taken at face value, setting fire to an individual person's house, or shed, is considered a more serious felony than setting fire to a forest and burning thousands of acres and hundreds of peoples properties, and causing tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars worth damage. Not sure how that would actual play out in court. Seems like arson is arson, no distinction between intention or accident.

    Edit:

Just read the article on the suspect from the July 4th fire, they are charging him with 1st degree, so they are treating him like he set a house on fire. Good.

Maybe possible, but not a probable explanation for 5 fires in 1 week. The basic conditions of a bottle or can or some other reflective surface exposed to the sun exist in abundance out there, but the extreme and perfect conditions to focus the suns rays from a soda can or glass bottle on some type of tinder don't. Otherwise we'd have fires everywhere.
