If you can access it check resistance between the wire going to the clutch and ground.
I would expect it to be around 4 ohms

You can also take your test light from battery positive and touch it to that wire, it should light up.

So i attached the test light to the positive terminal on the battery, and then unplugged that little bullet connector thing on the side of the compressor. I stuck the test light in there a few times but never got it to light up. To be clear i stuck it on both the actual male in of the connection and then inside the female end of the connection and neither lit up.

It would however, light up when i put the test light on the compressor body.

So it's a bad clutch coil then.

It should light up on the wire going to the clutch.

Then the clutch coil is open circuit as we suspected.

IF your test light works, it's a bad clutch coil. Like Dm93 said.

Just to make sure. test the test light on the battery.

The important part is NOT to loose the sparer behind the clutch. It looks like a thin washer.
It's not hard. If you can diagnose the clutch, you can change it.

Providing the clutch and pulley aren't stuck on the hub it should be pretty easy, make sure to retain the shims from between the clutch and compressor shaft as they will be needed to set the airgap.

That's how I'd do it. Except I have ZERO patience for snap rings. So I'd have to throw a few fits, and put on a show for the neighbors.
Other than that, it looks like a good video.

yeah hes pretty clear and concise on what to do, im still afraid i could bung something up with say the serpentine belt.

Im assuming there arent any other fuses, switches, or what have you that could cause this?

Also, what about getting a light from the battery into the female end of the connector? i tried both from the positive and negative and got nothing on either.

No, your directly connected to the clutch coil at that connector.

You won't see anything there, that wire is open unless the MG CLT Relay is turned on.

Well gents i ordered the part last week online, and today I got an email from the company that the part is on backorder and could be 2-3 weeks before they get the part to then ship it to me. Should i just go to my local dealer and see if they can order it? Thanks

Tried several others including my dealership and all of them are on backorder with Toyota. If nothing else works, is there some sort of OEM alternative i could give a try? I know that we should always try to get genuine toyota parts but i dunno if i wanna wait out the rest of the summer with no A/C.

    thanks,
    Noah
