Visited my sister in Madison today, then got face melted by loud music. Breese-Stevens Field is an interesting venue.

    Coheed & Cambria:

Primus. First time seeing them. It’s true, Primus Sucks! Also holy balls they are so much more ridonkulously good in person, lots of jamming stretching songs longer. Probably the most technically clean and skilled musicians I can recall seeing. Photos were impossible in the dark, really didn’t get any that turned out well.

    IMG_7500.jpg

Watched a dude’s brain almost literally melt and leak from his ear hole. Supposedly someone said he did a big dose of something and started having a bad time 2/3 way through the set. Cops actually tried to help but not much could be done so then they watched him flop on the astroturf. Someone else nearby claimed he ate 17 stamps but I think it was a joke. Either way, homeboy’s soul is floating somewhere between Lakes Monona and Mendota and probably still trippin balls.

    Happy Friday! :rockband:

Sounds like a good night to me!
Primus does suck, though I've came to appreciate the work of Les Claypool over the years. Seen several of his side projects. Want to hear some weird, sh!/ checkout OYSTERHEAD. Les Claypool and Trey Anastasio...."shadow of a man" or "pseudo suicide".

As far as the guy that had too much too fast.....he'll be alright...in time. o_O:rofl:

I've seen Primus probably 6-7 times between 1995 and 2018 being the last time. I'd say that the most recent one was also the best performance of them all, although they've always been very good. I also saw Les Clapool's Frog Brigade live years ago, which was different.

Not sure which drummer is touring with them right now, but it seems like they've been back and forth between Tim Alexander and Jay Lane for the last 20 years. Both tremendous drummers!

Being a bass player in the 90's, I was heavily influenced by Les. He remains one of my favorite musicians of all time.

    I'm not sure.
I do know, when they're touring, Jay Lane is the drummer for Bob Weir (grateful dead)
Bob Weir and the Wolf Bros. with Don Was on bass.
    Saw them in the cities.
    One of my favorites.

I didn't know that Jay Lane worked with those guys. I'll have to check some of that stuff out. I think Tim Alexander also has some side project, so maybe they just go with whoever is free at the time.:notsure:

I have a Primus concert story. Thought they were great but I was quite possibly altered…. Good times

I'm not a Primus hater. Never seen them live.
    Some bands suck on album.
Grateful Dead is one of them and I love Grateful Dead.
It was at the 1st Bonnaroo I saw Les Claypool's Tiny Frog Brigade. (2001?)
They're ongoing presence in the jamband community is why I think Adam commented about their extended songs.
Playing live they just let it go and don't focus on a 2.5min song...
    I probably would've liked it.

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.
Circling back to the polishing discussion and in the sprit of the group I finally pulled the trigger on this polishing kit Also added clean slate wash and I'm going to try out their Hydroslick ceramic coating wax.
I would go for a full ceramic but since the truck doesn't fit into the garage I don't have a proper space to let it cure.

All this will have to happen in September since August is going to be busy.

    Yes.
After Tigerton I need to get on something like that.
Give it a good one over.
Sliders need to get pulled back off and refinished....
Waiting until I'm done exposing it to hazards. I mean obstacles.
I mean taking IN the sights.
