Here's my paranoia. Not sure what kind of work you do, but let's say it's work that was of interest to a foreign state or fierce competitor, or maybe just a place where the compensation was very high.

Maybe I want to find an in on this company. Maybe I want to catfish you, manipulate you, scam you, or at least just figure out your phone number, name, what you look like, what kind of person you are, etc.

This is one way I would do it.

Maybe unusual but I wouldn't necessarily say weird. Yours might be what someone has been looking for a long time. I had my car (not the Taco) getting some groceries. When I went out a guy was looking in the window. When I went to get in he asked me if it was for sale. I said no and he proceeded to bug me for a price. ha ha. Looking back maybe I should have given a huge number and made a bunch.

That would be fine. Its the coming on private property part that was weird. If your a contractor doing work for us that's ok but you still have to sign in and whatnot. Randoms aren't alloud to just wonder through the parking lot.

Unless of course its meth heads they wonder into the shop sometimes when we have to doors open in summer. Funniest thing I ever saw was a methed out lady running through the shop one of my managers chasing her and a cop tailing behind both of them :goingcrazy:

Are there signs saying do not enter, private property, etc? We all go on private property to access places of business daily so the assumption might have been that if the gate is open the business is open to the public to come in.

Sometimes I wonder about how easily triggered someone is... or even how they invent a way to be triggered so they can cultivate comments on their truck.

not that weird. with that wheel selection, i can see how he'd call you out for being poor, and having a high likelihood of looking for a way out of an oppressive lease. /s

you should call him. my vehicles are always for sale for $425,000.00. each. maybe he wants my tacoma.

Signs don’t stop people gates don’t stop people fences don’t stop people.
A buddy at work has lakefront property with signs gates and cameras. He shows me videos as it happens people drive in if the gates are open.
People walking dogs and just people walking. He’s had people try to use his boat access.
    People have no respect

He may not be calling anyone poor. A new vehicle is often financed or leased ... these trucks cost more than a Corolla LE. Could just have been saying that he is qualified to take a lease or a new loan, instead of offering their chickens from the backyard as payment or other time-wasting process.

My buddy does this with 80 series Land Cruisers. He now has 4 of them and has sold several others he picked up.

Most likely someone trying to flip vehicles but what you're saying does happen, there are people out there that do some fucked up shit. I'm not paranoid but i am aware.
I've had a few notes like this on my windshield. I just crumple it up and litter, i dont give a fuck, i hope they come back and see their note on the ground.

You’re lucky it wasn’t a thank you note left under a rock on the ground where your truck was parked!

And be dead serious about it. Keeping him on the phone for like 5 minutes. And keep lowering the price by like $10 each time he tries to hang up.:rofl::rofl:
