$100k minimum. if you're gonna sell a truck you don't want to sell, make enough on it to set yourself up financially-- pay off the house and buy a new truck...

The weird thing is people getting their feelings hurt over a note left on their windshield.

I regularly find notes on my 67 Firebird from people looking to make a purchase. I consider it a compliment when people make unsolicited offers. Not everyone in this world is evil and wants to lock you in their dungeon.

I got my first Toyota truck by flagging a guy down at a stoplight and asked him if he would sell it. He took my number and called me months later and I bought it!

I’ve had people approach me in parking lots wanting to buy my 2010 RC, but what annoys me is people who leave business cards in weatherstripping or under my windshield wipers. This always happened at the movie theater or in the college parking lot, and it was almost always one of those bogus “Make $22 an hour working from home only three days a week” scams. Soliciting was against college rules and after I handed the card over to campus security, that stopped pretty quickly. Unfortunately, it was not before someone put a business card on my window right before it started raining, which left a mess for me to peel off the window…

    :annoyed:

I didn’t have much recourse in the movie theater parking lot, and two weekends in a row when I went to the movies with my friends, I came out to find cards from the same damn scam side hustle on my truck! I don’t like people touching my truck either!

I’ve both written and received those notes on different vehicles over the years.

    Bought one vehicle that way.

Someone likes your truck enough to ask if you’d sell - it’s a compliment if nothing else.

Not sure what there is to get upset about.

    Edit:
I did once get a note that said ‘Don’t park your $hit box in front of my house!’
But it was a $hitbox, and the note was from a buddy.

It's a good looking truck. Anytime someone has asked to buy a vehicle from me it's been at a gas station or a stop light. Always a hot rod or a muscle car though. Well, there were a couple that drove by the house when I was in the garage, but I'm pretty sure they were scoping vehicles to boost.

Now that I think of it, I had a note left on my front porch from a random person asking if they could cut the stalk from a century plant in the front yard. I texted them back and said sure. Google search said the stalks are used to make alcohol. Whatever. :notsure:
