3/24 build date. I bought it with 400 miles on it. Just rolling 2k after 1200 mile round trip to Oregon and other running around. Not a single issue, glitch, or bug. Transmission working perfectly, which is shocking, right? Since they all are failing in under 1k miles. lol, and the engine hasn’t failed either.

    I guess I got a good one.

It won’t, they fixed the 3rd gen frames in 2017

Some plastic plugs and goo is not a fix. The frame is the same as the rest and will absolutely rot out if not taken care of.

That’s literally what caused the frame to rot out, no plugs, and no sealer on the joints. They added cavity wax, plugs, and sealer on the joints, problem fixed

You’ll be fine if you take care of it or don’t live in a salty state. The 4th gen frames will probably rot out in similar conditions too, Toyotas 30 year history of poor frame quality doesn’t inspire confidence.

I live in a salty state, both of mind and geography. Meanwhile, anytime now. You promised.

Haha, I don’t promise anything. The massive body of evidence showing Toyota frame rot throughout all generations of Tacomas promises that fate if not maintained.

I think this forum must be under a bridge. It's thick with trolls.

I live in PA where they salt and use brine on the roads. I have a 2022 and will be getting it Krowned every year I have it because I don't trust that Toyota "fixed" the frame rot problem.

Toyota Tacomas biggest competition is other Tacomas. If the frames didnt rot out, nobody would buy new ones!
