Oh yea, big time. But the other side of that is if you can drive it like a old man going to church on Sunday morning it's not quite as bad, still a big sucking sound, just not huge. Sumbitch gets with the program getting on the freeway don't it. :D

You bought a 6 cyl truck....I cannot imaging people buying a Tacoma 6 cyl and fretting about gas mileage.

There are far better choices for better results if MPG is important. I would hate owning something with a little power and having to drive it as if a glass of wine was on he dash.

THAT'S the spirit!!! LOL Drive it like you stole it.....but under the radar. Fuel is going up....almost $3.50 here. Easy for me to be a little cavalier about MPG becasue I ride a bike 80% of the time. If I did not have the bike I would have bought a 30MPG HHR or Diesel Jetta wagon.......or not.

i'm not that concerned with mpg. It's more fun to drive this truck than my 1st gen and i get the same mpg.

I sympathise as this is my daily driver. It was more cost-effective to just eat the hit with the gas price than to take the depreciation on two autos, and the landlord only gave me one parking space.
