Over torqued spark plugs by accident

    I wonder what the "book time" is changing plugs? I'd bet at least three hours. At four hundred and change, "shop supplies" and the cost of the new plugs, and anything else they can throw in to make more money... that half hour (actual) job makes them quite a nice bit of pocket change.

    Yeah no. Our situation is more forgiving but go work on something with aluminum bolts that just amplifies the consequences of over tightening fasteners. Torque specs exist for a reason and should be followed accordingly and noting wet vs dry spec and understand that anti seize does not count as a wet spec compared to an oiled or greased fastener.
    Because let me tell ya I love seeing this after having the truck worked on.

    torque specs exist for liability reasons. that clearly was limp-wristed!
