lift kit 4 cyl

So i have my 3 inch lift sitting in the corner but i want a body lift to so it can keep up with my friends taco. Naturally they dont make a 6 inch lift for a 4 cyl. does anyone have a pic of this already? i have never liked the looks of abody lift, but my friend said it was hard to tell on a toyota because of the small frame. does anyone know what the mpg would be around if i have 33s on it? and which gears to get?

 

on the contrary in the 8 months ive been shopping for a lift kit, 4cyl dont have a 6 inch. 6cyl do. if anyone has a linkfor a 6 inch 4cyl lift i would love to see it. but as of righ tnow i am in dis belief.

 

I agree with Tiger on this one. There are lift differences between 5 and 6 lugs, NOT 4 cyl and 6 cyl because they both share the same suspension, chassis etc. Can you provide us with a link to this "mis-information" about lift differences between 4 and 6 cyl models?

 

actually fabtech sells 2 different lifts in 6" one for 4cyl and one for 6cyl ... what the diference is I dunno... also whiplash suspension makes a 10" kit for 4cyl tacos... if you look in my gallery my silver truck has 3" susp. 3" body 35's and I have 4.56 gears for it... I can still get 22+ mpg with 35's

 

i did just make myself look dumb about there not being a 6 inch lift. but it is a fabtec lift. that means 2500 dollars. i have way less than that to spend. see i have the 2.5 from my buddy. but i want a little more for bigger tires. so sorry about being the dummy, but they dont have any reasonably priced 6 inch lifts.

I have not found any cheap lifts. But you can get lift that are more then 3 inches

yeah not a problem man I understand about the cash... thats why my truck has 3" body and 3" susp. lift... same look going down rd, clears 35's same as a 6" suspension kit and cost about $2000 less...

 

I think i'm going to go with the tough country 3 inch lift. it has free shipping and ive used the suspension lift before so i know that it is quality and affordable.

I would venture to say that the difference between the two is in the spring rate. The 4 cyl. has to be quite a bit lighter then a 6 cyl. sitting in the front end. I have been struggling with my front end after i installed the 3 inch revtec kit being that it is so damn stiff. Gives me the feeling that something will bend if a haul ass off road. It is coming out as soon as i can decided whether the toytec or icon is the way to go. Both seem like quality products.

 

yeah I hated my revtec lift, perosnally I have went with company called ez-lift few times and have always had good experience with them

 

Interesting. I've never heard of ez-lift. I will definitely keep that in mind though.

I'm sitting here hitting my self on the forehead... I really wish I would have found these a few months back. Quality definitely looks superb. Not to mention, you aren't getting shafted on the price. Is it just me or are these piece CNC Billet Alum.? The Revtek kit appeared to be cast.

Hopefully some guys looking to do a spacer kit will stumble upon this thread and consider this kit before buying. Looks well worth the money and from what you say it is.

yeah looks pretty sweet though I just wouldnt keep the IFS if I was going to spend $2500 and lift it 10" it would be solid axle all the way
