Coming up on 4 years with my 2020 trd off road. Couldn't be happier but of course there are always a few small things that are a pain.

The wireless charger does charge fine for me but does get hot. Not too bad but still something I worry about after reading the issues on here.

The forward camera view with the dark V in the middle of the screen. This one really burns me as it makes no sense and would love to get rid of it.

400w/100w bed outlet. I have read threads about this but still don't understand why the truck can supply 400w in park but not when driving with the alternator putting out full amps? The other thing that I hate is the stupid button that you have to remember to hit every time you start the truck or the outlet is off. Just finished a weekend road trip with the electric cooler in the back and I was always an hour late turning the damn thing back on after shutting the truck off for what ever reason. No reason they couldn't have had a toggle switch to turn that on and it would still be off when the truck was turned off. (I know there is a kit made to beat this and I might go ahead and get it)

Nothing too bad. Just my bitch session after a weekend of having the cooler warm up on me every time head out on the road.

As a followup has anyone seen any way to replace the momentary button with a toggle switch to keep the power on and not have to hit it every time you start the truck. I know it will not be on when the truck is off and that is fine but just want it to be ready to go when I start the truck as I keep forgetting to push the damn button.

    Thanks

Search the 400w anytime threads, esp @kmorgan3 's kit. Works great with no issues. 400w at idle is more difficult than 100w with any RPM above idle.

While I’d love to take credit for the idea, that one belongs to @kmorgan3

Do you have a link for that thread. I just searched but couldn't get a hit.

    Thanks

Thanks I watched this video but don't want a receptacle in the truck. Just want the bed one to run at 400W. I got a link sent to me for just the wiring harness.

Now I just need to figure out how to get the damn switch to stay on so the plug will go live when the truck starts
