Sofia is doing this thing lately with me and Rebecca where she mirrors the way we talk to her, like if I ask her to pick something up she'll snap back with "DADDY do you remember what we talked about? It's important to LISTEN. When a person says they are tired that might mean that they CAN'T PICK UP THEIR TOYS because they need to REST. Sometimes it's good to do things FOR OTHER PEOPLE and clean up FOR THEM"

I've got the toddler dictator right now. She got some booster shots last week and has been in a mood all weekend.

Theo got shots about a week ago, 3 to be exact.

Did it prevent Olivia from standing up or walking? I can tell he was sore for two days straight...was even prescribed a pain reliever.

 

She is definitely sore. Her movements are not quite the same. She also wants to play but she is getting worn out faster.

How long did it last with Theo?

 

Day 1 he didn't want to stand up or walk on his own at all; he'd yell for you to pick him up.

Day 2 he finally stood up and walked a little, but wanted to be carried from one room to the next.

By day 3 he was good! You could tell he was sore and in pain but he toughed it out soon after.

 

She's on a little different schedule. It didn't really affect her till like 3 days later which the doctor told us it would. She definitely wants to be picked up more but when she wants down she wants down.

He just wanted picking up cause when he's done playing in the living room, he'll run to his room cause that's where his toys are

So after the shot, he didn't want to walk to his room

Think it was the DTap that really hit him?

 

That's funny, they know where there stuff is. Olivia will either book it to her room or start climbing the stairs.

 

Slow day today, but I couldn't relax so made a little mount for my foot pedal.
