They are basically all the same to me. Sunday is slightly significant because I need to get the trash out Monday is collection day.

There was no where the back bolts lined up to? I'm looking further into it but zipties for the win until then haha

 

That’s really odd. Was that made for a Tacoma without a 6” lift? I can’t imagine how that would fit unless that crossmember was cut and the “extended” one was installed.

It is a nice looking skid though!

 

That would make sense he did have a lift on his but I didn't think it would affect it for some reason

 

In your case, you probably need to see if you can have support added somehow. Might be best to sell that one and buy one that’s not meant for a large lift.

Without the support is might cause things to bend, but again, I’m not 100% sure.

 

True, if I end up selling it I'll probably just install the stock one I took off and use that money for another part higher on the priority list.

 

maybe there is a second skid that is meant to attach to it and cover the transmission too…

All my skids. Oil pan, transmission and transfer skid tuck up closer to the frame.

Looks like the part of the skid I'm having a problem with, you have attached to the additional plates

 

Wow this is a disaster waiting to happen. I wouldn’t want to hit something in the road with that going 60 or 70 mph. Just my 2cents.

 

Possibly. I'm going to jack it up and see if I can figure it out sometime this week. With the zip ties it really doesn't bounce... Yet

Could the skid have been made to sit on top of the brackets?

I think the TRD Pro skid keeps them in place.

 

That would make sense, I just didn't think the bolts were long enough
