Blood sport is great and all....but movies on a tablet while camping.....maybe if you're 8 or on a solo trip

2 years ago we did watch some weird 80's slasher film from like Pakistan. my buddy is a weird one. Hell of a cool guy, we call him VHS for a reason most of his film collection is VHS. we usually when heading back from central OR stop at the last Blockbuster for him to dig through the sale bins for Videos

Sitting around camp at night with a projector might be pretty ok depending on film selection and intoxication level

we have talked about it getting a screen hanging it from a truck rack or off like an awning on the legs, getting a projector set up right could be fun. but also i like to be away from electronics when camping a lot

    Sounds like a moth attractor...

I'm with you, I prefer to unplug... but I could see some fun being had with camping video games... break out the "old school" N64 Mario Kart and I'm IN!

Wife bought me a switch lite specifically for camping. We go out a lot just the two of us. I'll usually just kick back with a view and some music, while she enjoys her hammock and a book/kindle. Having the switch has been nice, especially in the evenings after dark in the camper, or out in the awning room.

And yeah, we'll use the tablet to watch something while we eat dinner. Maybe download a few episodes of whatever we've been watching on Netflix for that.

It's different when you're with a group. I'm not gonna watch TV or play video games, I'll be shooting the shit with everyone.

Last year at hunting camp I brought portable DVD player and the new Top Gun movie. It was kinda cool watching a movie on the tailgate eating Jiffy popcorn looking out over Boulder CK Canyon in the moonlight.
