Looks like 33% is the correct max for Arizona.

Actually, the sides were cooler than windshield, and the windshield tint (just applied 1 week ago) makes the car almost tolerable to get in (before AC) even after all day in the sun. My dashboard is also just a little warm now.

As to being pulled over for 25%, police pay "off the books" for windshield tint even though it is marginally legal. And many drive all the time at night with only "driving lights" that the vehicle turns on ... no effort to try to be really visible.

Heard a bit of creaking from the clutch pedal again when I went to leave work today. I used this bad boy to shoot some sil-glyde straight into the spot where the nubbin sits. Hopefully this lasts longer than a spritz of white lithium grease. I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner.

Finally installed. Last pic was taken about 60 ft away. Might have to adjust down a little. A1BDB6B8-8ABC-489A-8D25-4B8B72A9C7C8_1_201_a.jpg 80124B7E-A7F3-49CF-8735-51BDB0BC6C9F_1_201_a.jpg 4B15C120-00CA-4382-9240-7810741A7063_1_201_a.jpg

You want to find a level surface and a wall that you can project onto from 25’ back, like the wall on the right. Adjust the fog lights so the top of the fog beam pattern is about 4 inches down from the lamp center.

Agree, my suspension is stock, 22 OR AC and it's amazing where this truck has taken me, airing down makes a huge difference, and I have upgraded the front skid

I actually stayed there for 3 days. My son was building his house about 3 miles down the hwy. beautiful place, Willow Creek. His place is across the road from Trinity river.

After 110,000kms, it was time to do a front brake job. So I stepped up a bit and did a 4Runner rotor and caliper swap with TRD pads and braided stainless steel lines. So far I am very happy with the set up. They should work well while towing in the mountains of B.C.

    20240805_213934.jpg
    The original set up.

    20240805_214004.jpg
The new set up with Raybestos S-groove rotors and Powerstop calipers.

    20240805_214256.jpg
And the new look thru the wheel.

My initial impression is very positive with this mod. Everything bolts right up and I feel like I can modulate the brakes better without the bite the stock brakes had.

I think my front rotors are slightly warped. No pulsation and or vibration in the steering wheel around town but start to do it intermittently when they heat up going down steep grades in the mountains. Even with engine breaking. I’m monitoring them and hope to just keep using them until its time to change them out. Maybe do what you have done. Not 100% sure but I think it’s the rotors.

I have had mistorqued lugs nuts cause that before. May be worth checking.

I am at 55k and I noticed moderate pulsating when coming down a steep grade. That is an indication of rotor warping?

I got some of the stuff and a road map for the rest...
I've been loving these Brute tool boxes. Mounting hardware didn't match my set up, so I had to do some custom 80/20 work to stabilize and secure everything.

Next step is to enclose the top so I can sleep in it and haul ladders etc. Likely will do a DIY wedge tent.

Love extruded aluminum. It’s so versatile. Easy to cut, doesn’t rust. What city/region is that?

From what I remember, you can experience a pulsation in the brake peddle and or a vibration in the steering wheel like its vibrating left to right very quickly, slowing down as as you slow. I do believe there could be a few other issues causing these symptoms too. I'm not a mechanic but had this issue before on a prior vehicle. I have 66K Kms/41.0105 miles on my front brakes.
