I think a lot of folks here was still shitting thru cheese cloth when I got my first 750. LOL

 

just gotta look for a cheap used bike tbh. i found a lot of bikes that were good for a little trail bike (smaller cc bikes) and they would be good for the gf to put around on. all depends on what you are wanting and can afford tbh.

thanks for letting me know about it thou! brent was super easy to deal with and even stayed late since me and 3 other customers got caught up in the traffic of that really bad accident so we all got there after closing time! still helped us gave us some swag stuff and also helped load the bike on the carrier for us!

yuuuup for here its stupid easy just have a title mirror. and headlight and tail light.... its honestly that simple here

i would agree ktm husky and others like it are very much there. i would have gone that route if it wasnt for the price. i found a lot of used ones at basically the price i paid for the klx but then we are talking about used with rebuilds in them and close to 200 hours or more. some did have super low hours on them but i was kinda done with used bikes tbh after buying my last used dirtbike....

well time to buy a cheap crf r model and get to it! lol

 

1973 a few months past my 16th birthday. It was a clapped out CB750K. Wasnt old, but the years it had on it were hard years. 2 years old with 21,000 miles. I would guess 20,000 of those miles were spent at close to redline. But it was cheap, thats what counted then. But I didnt pick on any DS250's with it.

i was talking to him and the finance guy about the bike and they both told me them and other dealers in kc and jeff city got hit by people stealing bikes with a uhual truck... they lost about 8-10 bikes two weeks ago. thankfully they got caught in jeff city trying to steal more bikes with the same stolen and beaten up uhual

Nice! Get ready for a battery swap out though, the OEM ones do not seem to last, especially with older stock. Mine was sitting at 10.2 V when I brought it home. Recharge got it back to 12.6 - 12.8 V range, but would trickle back down to 12.2 V in less than an hour. Repair cycle mode on the Genius G7200 got it back to resting at 12.8 V even after multiple days of sitting.

The battery did end up dying on me while out on a trail at 467 kms / 290 mi and needed to be replaced. When a load was placed on it it would drop to ~1.4 V, then bounce back to 12.6 V after resting.

damn that sucks! hopefully mine aint that bad! they did add a battery tender plug on the bike for me so i can easily plug it into once i get a battery tender that is lol.

 

Hopefully. Cheap compared to the savings of buying a 2024 for me though. Mine also came with the tender plug - Optimate I think. Had to buy an overpriced adapter to use it though (damn noco products).

 

haha true ill have to look into it if the battery starts getting low. my old klx idk how old the battery was but it was pretty bad when i first got it and then we charged it and it worked great for years lol

 

As @BkerChuck said it's a track timer and data logger that also shows you cool stuff like G forces and lean angle.
