Yeah, more rain today, need to figure out walk time. Wife and I did the August patriotic thing this morning, she was #1, I was #2. They didn’t even have doughnuts

Dodged the tornado bullet for the time being some folks are going to have some wet basements I had a creek in my ditch

 

Yesterday was lab and infusion day. Numbers outstanding. Infusion didn't slam me as it sometime does.steroids meant no sleep last night. So rest day today.

Good morning Paul, how’s the Cape today?

I went over to the house of one of the radio club members and we played with his HF rig. I haven’t received my technician call sign yet and I’m studying for my general and looking a used HF radios now lol.

 

Things got sporty earlier, all good now. Downtown Paw Paw was flooded for a while. Got my walk in, goal is 365 in a row, a suggestion from my Cardiologist. Lake access site has really high water, found this in the neighbors front yard, I’m thinking tacos for lunch

Just got into SFO.

2 hrs I should be home

 

Rain is moving in for part of the day. My wife and sister went back home for two days as there is a service and tree planting at my late nephew’s workplace, tomorrow. So it’s just me and the dogs. If the weather clears up, I’ll go sit at the local town landing, later, and watch the boats.

HF rigs… That’s a rabbit hole. I bought a used one - all band - UHF, VHF, HF. Haven’t turned it on in a while. My antenna is a G5RV about 45 feet in the air between two oak trees. It’s just okay. I had a vertical but I found it noisy. Don’t overlook the antenna.

There’s the Marconi museum just around the corner from me up here. Interesting history of wireless radio.

 

The other reason I like the gmrs, 6 in antenna.

Actually it's wonderful. I'm twice retired and do 3 days a week for "Boot Money" I like them, they like me and it's all good good.
