How did it go? We started taking Sofia around 1.5 yrs old but she never felt OK enough to sit in the chair and get a cleaning done until she was almost 4. of course with little ones they really don't do or need to do too much, more just to make sure everything looks like it's coming in OK

Any time Sofia gets fussy about brushing her teeth, I show her my cavity fillings (I have 4 from my teenage years) and she agrees to do it right away lol.

That sounds like a great time. Olivia's is not till October. It's near impossible to get appointments up here.

Gotta take one of her baby teeth and leave it in a cup of soda one day. Good motivation like they used to show us at school.

Too bad caring for your teeth isn't enough if you inherited soft/bad teeth like me. Upside is Ive had enough fillings that I dont even get numbed up anymore. Just drill it & get it done quick. Dentist always looks at me side eyed but it honestly rarely bothers me.

You are a lucky man. I have a few broken teeth. I got hit with a hockey puck and a stick (different events). I have a overwhelming fear of the dentist. I'd rather deal with tooth pain than go.
I found this article a few months ago.
    https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/health/a60952102/tooth-regrowth-human-trials-japan/

If this is the case. Gas me up, nock me out and let's pull and regrow the broken ones.

Generally I don't mess with them unless they are blocking a path. I was amazed how big these wood spiders are getting.

yeah genetics definitely plays a big part in dental health. I got lucky and was the only one that didn't need braces growing up between my brother and sister and I.

went over a decade without seeing a dentist 26 yrs old to 37yrs and had no issues besides needing a longer cleaning when I finally went...I do go regularly again now though lol.

Just be thankful you didn't play goalie in this era.

Or before that even, with no masks at all. Crazy motherfuckers, although if players then were as fast and shooting as hard as they do now there most certainly would have been goalie fatalities then.

    Clean bill of health!

Dentist said we're doing really well in brushing his teeth and to just keep it up but that everything is looking healthy.

She recommended routine visits, not because he'll need it, but to get him used to coming to the dentist office.

He really hates being restrained in any way and that's really the only thing that upset him. But having a mirror in his mouth and all doesn't bother him at all.

It is kind of funny how much little kids hate being restrained

I remember when I got stitches around 3yrs on the back of my head, they couldn't restrain me enough by hand and had to roll me up in a velcro blanket like some kind of toddler straight jacket. But looking back, makes total sense why

Dude, he's so good at fighting Stephanie when being put in his stroller.

Not so much that he fights, but he laughs and thinks it's hilarious to grab the push handle and pull himself up and out while she's trying to get his restraint around him
