It’s like being 15 again with my first car! Really appreciate you taking us along

I’m thinking some of the remaining roughness could be the jets being gummed up but you know that already :anonymous:

Sorry if I missed it and related to having a 4bbl, does it have disc brakes up front and drums in the back?

Good morning friends! Hope everyone has a wonderful day :hattip:

I pass numerous stores on the way to work and usually fill up at whichever one is cheapest, don't care what brand since it all comes up the same pipeline.

I stopped at the Speedway in Walnut Cove this morning cause their sign said $3.189 (has for 2+ weeks) and I can get a nickle off with their rewards, I put my number in, looked at the pump and it said $3.249 (price was $3.299 but they raised it overnight cause of storm coming).

I pushed cancel and went inside, told the lady the pump didn't match the sign. She got the manager, she said corporate changes their gas price on the pump but they have to change the sign. She changed the digital sign while I was standing there and said "I understand if you want to go down the road".....so I did.

I drove by the Citgo not far from there that is $3.189 cause there's a small mom and pop store that was $3.099 but they charge 3% if you don't have cash, I had $5 but I decided to stop since it would be less than the $3.189 at the Citgo.

I whip the Honda in, pop the gas door and look at the single pump they have and it has a black bag over it. I'm assuming people are panic buying gas for the incoming rain.

I wound up at the Shell station and filled up for $3.199

The moral of this story, I am so glad to be out of the store business and not have to deal with customers and point B I've turned into my dad trying to save $.32 on a fill up

Less contact with the water=less friction=better gas mileage & quicker time to the honey hole. Even though you can't see where you're going

Yea, I thought so too, but he assured me he's trimmed full down. Gonna try raising the engine a couple holes and see what we get. Might also pull a prop vent
