I do know what SWCC is. I was never in SWCC. I was in SBU 12, deployed in Oct. 1980 as Det Chief with Det B.
SWCC was not active in 1980 when I was there. I did not go through any class. I came from the fleet for a two year tour and then transferred to shore duty to run tugs. Don’t worry, I’m not trying to be anything I’m not.

goddamn those leaf packs are heavy. You know you’re past your prime when you can’t lift a leaf pack without some air squeaking past

105k service and a first... switched from the go-to; TGMO and OEM filter to:
    - HPL PP 0w-30
    - Fram Synth filter (Supposedly ~20 something vs ~40 something over OEM; Looked better made than the OEM that definitely look less robust over the years)
    - Tire Rotation (These Nitto Ridge Grapplers with ~45k are wearing/cupping/getting loud at an alarming rate (Sad face)
    - Normal checks
    - Touched up frame and undercarriage treatments with a mix of Corrosion-X and FluidFilm (I have been sleeping hard on this last 1-2 years and seeing some rust spots (Pissed face) This fall 100% I'm going to power-wash the heck out of it and go nuts with a couple cans of Cosmoline

I'll add to the story. I worked with a guy on a Emergency Recovery team for a telecom vendor. Man-made and AOG outages, think 9/11, hurricanes etc. . About 6 years in I find out he's UDT during NAM. Most quiet and polite guy you can imagine. No brag, no chest thumping. The only reason the cat was let out of the bag was he had gotten into an altercation and had paralyzed the adversary by jamming his thumbs into the eye sockets. I sort of hinted it sounded like a special ops move and he smiled. I immediately started picking his brain. I got him to talk a little about training but he didn't ever go into the hardcore stuff. He told me about some of the decorations he had been awarded and it just blew my mind. I really admired him for being a 'tough' guy without all the bravado. Myself: Army secret communications. Including 13 months in ROK in the 70's. That's all anyone knows, that's all they will ever know.
3rd Gen content: My Taco is in the garage as I watch Eastern NC get dumped on by Debby.

I've had good luck with these Power Stop coated rotor kits on a couple of cars now and when it's time to do the front on my Tacoma I'll likely go with them again. I've been buying from this place for the past 10 months or so because they have great prices, ship free, and don't charge tax to ordered shipped out of state. I'm sure they just get stuff drop shipped from the manufacturer but the one time a part was wrong they issued a refund quickly and hassle free. I know it says 4Runner but it's the same part number as a 3rd Gen Taco on Power Stop's site.

That sucks. We're supposed to get hit tomorrow into Saturday. I've gotta make sure my backup sump pump is ready tonight in case my regular one craps out. The joys of owning a 130 old house with a fieldstone foundation.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/brake-upgrade-stoptech-rotors-trd-performance-pads.523829/

If you can find the trd pads they're recommended. Apparently Stoptech rotors aren't the quality the used to be since the company was sold/bought out. There's several other suggestions towards the end of the thread.
