From 40 years on the business front, there is no telling what is going to happen in the next 6 to 8 months. It doesnt matter who gets elected, there are too many things at play between Ukraine, Iran, Lebanon, China and Venezuela. After watching businesses use COVID to their advantage while the small guys were bled dry. Nothing could happen, or the consumer could start feeling like they are being bled dry and the bottom falls out. I was looking at picking up a new Subaru Outback Wilderness but told the wife, let's spend a couple grand and make yours last and look after the first of the year.

My advice, (not that you asked) is if they meet what you need, go for it, but dont stretch for it right now. Recessions are normal, people act like there is an answer to them, there isnt, they involve panic most times. And unfortunately, panic sells on the internet and TV, trust me on this, I been through maybe a dozen of them. When you are in sales, you feel every one of them.

I'll add, retired, dont give a shit if the world goes flat and the pope gets hair lipped, I'll survive.

The great thing is.....I would like to have it.....I don't have to have it. If they drop down to the listed price OTD....then I'm a buyer. If not, I still have my little Rally :D

I honestly wanted a T7 before buying my Rally. I just wasn't willing to pay 13K+ for a bike that MSRP's at 10K. I paid 7K for the Rally($6600 MSRP) b/c it had a seat concepts seat($300) along with the stock seat and a few hundo worth of SRC Moto parts with only 648 miles and the first service already done with all paperwork. I'm not lucky enough to be able to pay more than I should for things

A whole lot of folks arent as lucky as you are.

One of the guys I worked with back in 09, blew $32K on a custom Harley, then six weeks later his wife blew up her car and their home A/C crapped out, then a month later our company started laying off. He dodged the bullet, but didnt have two cents to rub together for years. He tried to sell the Harley, couldnt get a buyer because everyone was laying off. Tried to sell it to Salvador, a really nice Mexican kid working for us. Sal said $32K for a motorcycle, that must be some kind of white guy thing. LMAO

I'm definitely lucky that I'm not stressing over monthly bills/necessities. I have a very simple life and will never be able to afford luxury items.....and I'm completely ok with that.........I'll just keep "window shopping" them

On sales tax,,, IMO sales tax should be paid one time. Why should they get tax money every time it’s sold? JMHO

Yes I bought the 750. Bikes paint was clean but underneath everything was a different story. Looks like the bike spent some time outside. Anyway it runs good and has low miles so I am happy. I got home and started to clean. I took most of the bodywork off and lifted the tank. First I used compressed air to blow everything out. Then I used dawn soap in a foam cannon on my pressure washer and soaked it down real good. Took a bush to everything that wasn’t body work and rinsed it off with the pressure washer. Then blew it dry with compressed air. I did break a couple of the small tabs on one piece of body work but I did some plastic welding and got it all fixed. I still need to clean the chain, take off the rear wheel and clean it real good, then do the same to the front. I will do an oil and filter and lube the cables. Then get it all back together so I can take it for its maiden
Voyage. Also it feels so light moving it around compared to the FZ1.

Man, you don't waste any time! Congrats! Looking forward to riding impressions. Always liked the 750s.

1st ride will probably be Saturday unless I get everything done tomorrow after golf. I don’t like to ride on Fridays but if I go early enough it should be ok.

If you were going to powder coat the wheels what color would you do? I am thinking something bright to make me more visible. I have a powder coating machine, sand blaster and oven so I just need a color.

GSX red wheels, then change the logo to the Red GSX logo, with tiny highlights here and there.

thats true i think i worded it oddly i was meaning to say it as in a private sale if you put you paid 1k instead of 3k the taxes would be lower vs a dealer you cant do that when you buy something

atm its priced high for a left over model so wait a month or so and see if the price will drop or if they are more willing to let it go for less

I've always been a fan of the black with neon green type of thing. Think Gravedigger if you know monster trucks.

I'd do the wheels in that bright as hell green that Stellantis is using Jeeps and Challengers, and then I'd do a white reflective tape ring on the inside to make it really pop.

    Non motorcycle related….

Playing in the front yard after an earlier rain. Had a cat show up following it around till I chased it off. Then another, and did the same till I killed the battery. Good times!

    That is all.
