    My last purchase of the battery was couple years ago from Wally world, that was the choice at the time due to neatly 50% lower price compare to some other brands; I felt that was a good decision since it still going strong and manufactured by Johnson Controls.

    I just learned about water cremation yesterday, it’s basically like a big pressure cooker.

    I’ve told my wife to have me cremated, take me on the mountain, and throw me out. All of me, save nothing. Maybe a bear will come by and get a big sniff of me and get diarrhea.

    I watch prices all the time too. :anonymous: I have the app Gas Buddy to keep an eye on things. Costco is almost always the lowest, (by quite a bit) and we have to drive past it going into town, so I don't often do any extra driving. I stock up if the price seems low, and keep around 100 gallons in the shop for mowing and in case prices get stupid for a bit. :notsure:

    Agree!

    The door glass seems thicker than on the wagon, it also has a metal edge around the 3 exposed sides.

    Those second gen Camaros had massive doors, the longer you had them the more pins you changed. :ballchain:

    Car doors got heavier in 1973 when impact guard beams were federally mandated.

    Yeah, it was big news up here with all sorts of stories. One thing that stuck with me was the fact some of the larger bones and the skull need to be pulverized for the finished product.

    A vacuum gauge - this is how old people (aka: me) tuned up cars back in the day. :rolleyes:

    KIMG4267.jpg

    In the photo the engine is off so zero vacuum - see the green zone on the gauge, a healthy stock engine will show about 18" - 20" at an idle.

    By tightnin' & tinkerin' I got it up to the 16" - 17" range but the needle wasn't smooth, nor was the engine. :confused: Smooth engine = smooth needle.

    It has gotten less bad as I have driven it.

    So, time for a little troubleshooting.

    I pulled the #8 spark plug wire off and there was no change in the idle. o_O
    Nor was there a change when pulling #5 :confused:
    ...or #2 :confused::confused:

    ...or #3 :confused::confused::confused:

    See my post it chart below, the ones with circles made no change in the idle when disconnected.

    KIMG4265.jpg

    Any guesses???

    BTW:
    How can a V8 engine idle fairly smoothly with 4 spark plugs disconnected?

    It has to do with weight - this Ford 352 is a massive engine weighing in at around 650 pounds - just the crankshaft weighs around 70 pounds without the flex plate, torque converter, harmonic balancer, connecting rods and pistons. All this rotating weight smooths out the uneven power pulses.

    A 3.5 Tacoma crankshaft weighs about 45 pounds for comparison.
