Ah, yeah, would totally hate for the Environmental Protection Agency to 'meddle' into, you know, the protection of the environment. What a positively weird take.

In the effort of fairness too, that analogy (the verbatim text in the GIF) is just straight trash. Complete lack of representativeness.

Coming from a guy up in Flagstaff too, straight up surrounded by the beauty of nature. SMH.

The EPA sucks, not because I want to decat things and roll coal, but because hamfisted policies they've implemented have made things objectively worse.

E15 and E10 is a plague and I hope everyone who helped mandate it stubs their toe on a really sharp nightstand corner.
It's more carbon intensive to make, it doesn't actually lower emissions, it destroys seals, ruins fuel lines and tanks because it's hydrophilic... so basically the protection agency has forced us to spend more money and more CO2 on putting shit in our fuel that arguably has a very small effect on tailpipe emissions but costs far more in terms of repairs, vehicles in the scrap yard, and colossal swaths of corn farmland.

Same thing with CAFE, it's the reason why the 3rd gen Taco is the same size as the 1st gen Tundra... it's easier to make a car fatter and get a less restrictive economy target, than to magically summon a 50% thermal efficiency motor out of your asscrack. And it's all because bureaucrats make up the rules with no understanding of the nuance behind it.

I don't hate the idea of the EPA, they're just doing a really shitty job.

    .... rant off.

Yep the rains were very welcome. :)
For some reason down in Copa we were just under a dome for a while there. My new trees are probably perking up already.

Not Gold Star. They came back and fixed the lazy work but not a great first impression. Not listening to that neighbor's recommendations anymore either.

Yup, one reason why full size trucks are so big too.
I think the E10-E85 stuff was all done as a way for the continuation of subsidized corn and other farms.

I have been a plumber for about 20 years. The key to soldering on a new anything is CLEAN AND DRY.
If you are soldering a hose bibb, turn water off and get every bit of water out, use a straw if you have to.
Sand the pipe clean, clean the fitting great. I would recommend a female adapter and a hose bibb that screws in so you only have to solder one time,,and if it needs replaced in the future you just screw a new one on.

Flux both the pipe and fitting, and then apply your heat on the opposite side of the solder, and when the solder starts to melt, then remove the heat, and feather the heat to and fro. It's easy to overheat 1/2 inch pipe, so heat just enough to get solder to melt and then feather the heat and "walk" the solder around the joint.

Let it cool for about 30 seconds,,,then wipe clean.

    Hope this helps!

I tried to get the plumber to do this for me. Nope he made it where I had to call him back or another plumber if I ever needed work on it. I mean he did a good job at the end of the day and the price was reasonable.
