I am keeping my 2021 it flawless. Read new Tacomas have transmission issues and that is just the beginning of the first year of production what else. Go to the 4 Generation forum and read what new owners say.

I also enjoy my 2021 and have no desire to trade it in, but I have to recognize the enhancements made to the new model.

Just look at the payload capacity between OR models. The new OR can carry 400# more than my truck. That is a meaningful amount of difference (which I assume is mostly due to the new frame design).

I’ll wait a few years until all the 4th Gen kinks are worked out, then I’ll consider making the move. My 3rd Gen does everything I ask of it, so I’m really in no hurry.

TRD Exhaust, Mobtown bolt on sliders and aluminum tailgate reinforcement, Reverse lights changed to yellow turn signals, LED pods added for reverse, ADD W1 oil catch can, Total Chaos bed reinforcement, rear diff breather to taillight mod, 12" combo led bars behind lower grill wired to high beams, Toyota led bed light kit, 400 watt anytime mod, SSO slimeline front bumper.

It still has the option to get a third pedal (but you can't have it with the most powerful engine).

Rear lights are terrible. Truck looks like it has downs. However the inside looks ok

I'm happy for all the new 4th gen owners out there enjoying their trucks.
I'm sticking with my 23 TRD that has been very good to me.

The multi link rear is a big deal imo. After rocking my current 4Runner for a while, I could not easily go back to leaves.

    It's nice that I don't own one.

Maybe I’m missing the sarcasm here, but there’s definitely base trims and 6 foot beds for the 4th gen.

It will ultimately shift the bulk of the "this truck sucks" whining over to the 4th Gen forum.

    My neighbor has one?
At some point I’ll have to get one if I stay with tacomas.
Shit rots out here in VT.

I’ll add another, double front timing cover, no more timing cover leaks and having to pull the engine out after driving 3 feet off the dealership lot

The frame is coated with wax on the inside and the holes are all plugged off they did a great job protecting it
