I figured it would be a high tier and high proof since it’s a distiller’s select. That’s a very nice bottle.

I know you are a big 4R guy, do you believe T6 is really that much better than the others? I am enjoying this T5 a lot

I think on the average a T6 is only gonna add a point or two of proof over a T5, and I’ve seen T5s with higher proof than T6. At that point I think as long as it’s a recipe you like, the two are gonna be very similar.

I have a couple T1s that are amazing…the higher tier just accentuates the flavor with more heat cycling and evaporation.

Makes sense. I notice only big or preferential liquor stores get access to the higher tier picks generally speaking

The last three months or so I’ve been on a nationwide hunt for high tier. I’ve found multiple at little liquor stores that only have one or two locations. No idea if they just got lucky or if they requested them or what.

And here in NC where’s there’s state management and you think we’d get better stuff due to the volume at the state level, all the picks I’ve seen have been low tier.

Best thing I’ve ever had was a tier 6 OBSO. Have three of them now from three different stores.

Don’t do it lol I got to try it recently, the 15 is really good, I don’t think it’s worth the price difference to the 13
