Meso HitchPod + Baja Designs S1 Work/Scene

Meso Customs HitchPod, meant to mount a Baja Designs S1 pod light into the trailer hitch. Comes with the Baja light in a work/scene (flood) pattern. Used for 4 months. Puts out a ton of light. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, I just wanted to recess lights into my bumper, so this was always a temporary purchase for me. Overall will run about $165-170 to buy the parts new and install. Plus, running out and buying the expensive step drill bit if you don’t have one which is a pain.

I used daveeasa’s license plate disable in reverse (DIR) harness to power this but you can wire it up however you please. Comes with the female weatherpack on the light, no male wiring included (that is how Baja sells the light). Dave’s DIR harness is NOT included, that’s just how I used it for this light. I’m still using that harness repurposed.

Have you seen anyone run one of these with switch? looking for alternative to light up small campsites.

 

I haven’t, but it would be easy to do for sure.
