The USB in the dash that connects to head unit for Apple car play/Android auto seems to be loose.
My connection is lost sometimes and it is getting annoying.
How hard is it to replace?
    Thanks

I don't know about replacing the whole socket, you can probably just buy the part from the dealer or online dealer and plug it in. Before you do, did you try buying a new (and good name brand) cord? The cord plugs can get loose and cause connection issues, especially at the phone.
While not for data, by GF wears these cords out several times a year.

It kind of sounds like a bad cable like Chew said unless you already tried a new one, the socket though shouldn’t be too hard to replace either if you are handy with taking the center console apart.

Thanks for the replies. I know I should check cable first (Troubleshooting 101). Just wondering the procedure to replace if needed. Is cable accessed through console?

Is your cable not just a standard usb cable that connects to the usb port under the hvac knobs?
