All Moog/Mevotech parts are going to be exact OEM fit, so if JD says OEM needs something special, chances are these will too. And Poly will hold up better than standard rubber bushings.

yeah. Hopefully that fixes the uneven caster. Might try it should be better than the cheaper ones.

good to know thank you. I know on some cars poly is not recommended as certain suspension setups tend to rip it.

but if it’s good for a Tacoma gonna research which poly kits can be made to fit my JD pivots if any (possibly 3rd gen ones per website)

Came back from a fun week of wheeling in the Colorado mountains, am 100% sold the 500lb springs are the appropriate choice now. they work really well for the colorado style wheeling we were doing at least.
they didn't settle any more than the pre-trip shakedowns, (nor did the new leaf packs) which is a touch disappointing because I want to bring the ride height down a hair, but I'll figure it out. (3500+ miles since install)

Unfortunately with the current front ride height I'm maxed out on alignment adjustments and having to compromise either camber or caster. For this trip I tried running 2.75deg caster to get +0.25 deg camber (yes positive) on both sides.
This is with both cams maxed "outboards" and then dialing the front cam inboard just enough to eek out to 2.75 caster.
When in low range the alignment was fine but on the highway I really wanted a bit more caster, so looks like I need to compromise with even more positive camber to get there. Anyone else running at the limits of their alignment adjustments? Or is this because I'm sitting pretty high currently? Crossing my fingers that maybe lowering it down an inch will give me some negative camber back

I'm impressed you only need 500lbs. Though I suppose an AC is quite a bit lighter than my DCLB and you have a lot of aluminum vs my steel.

No one ever looks at this thing and says “you’re lighter” haha

I did have to go 5 clicks up on the low speed compression knobs to make it driveable at intersections and lane changes on the highway

well. Depends on lift height and what adjustment parts you get.

I’m still trying to figure mine out. But right now with negative camber (as advised) it handles noticeably better and drives less like a circus. I imagine up to around -1 will not kill tires. When I used to run 0 camber it did drive like a circus as any car probably would. Maybe that’s just a part of a lifted truck with no sway bar on 35’s.

I’m currently installing a 2.25 kit on a gen 3. I can only seem to cycle 11.5 inches from the upper uniball binding at the top and bottom. This is with the factory bump cut out and no limit strap. Is there something I’m missing to get closer to 13” ?

13" won't happen. Not sure why they claim it. It will be 11-11.5". Usually it's the steering that limits droop and the ubj limits up travel.

Is ball joint travel different the wheel travel? May just depend on where the travel is measured at. What do you get if you measure at the outer edge of 35x12.5x17 with a 17x9 wheel with -13 offset? I bet it is different than at the upper ball joint.

I was measuring at the hub. I figured it would be the most accurate. I found that with the bumpstop in place and upper UCA disconnected the shock extends 8” yielding 13” travel. With the UCA connected it comes to 7.125 on the shock and 11.5” travel.

Travel is always measured at the hub for that reason

yup, 11" sounds right for wheel travel pre-strap/limiting for the 2.25 kit.
Fox shocks I got are limited to only stroke 7" which aligned basically spot on with UBJ bind on rebound side

Ahhh, I see. Hard to tell what size they are in the photo, but they look big for steering.

Well they do look to be the same size as steering heims I’ve used before. I don’t see any tie rod extenders. Might email Jesse after the second package comes in. Maybe more will be revealed lol

Edit: found a parts list. Says two steering heims and two steering extenders. Little more confused lol
