    IMG_2981.jpg A buddy of mine says he has “bad luck with vehicles”. He’s got a travel trailer near some wildfire areas by Lake Roosevelt that now has a bent frame, can’t even move it somehow?

    He just sold his 05 Tundra he bought brand new that had 130k miles because the maintenance was getting to be too much?

    So he bought a 15 Super Duty diesel and is shocked he’s only getting 15mpg’s and gets pissed he’s gotta drive it around while it regens all the time.

    Before that he bought a 07 Forester with about 105k miles that he didn’t have looked at before he bought it, and was shocked it needed a head gasket. He dropped in a used engine- told him head gaskets on those aren’t that bad, super common on most Subarus, now the replacement engine is failing too.

    Before that he bought an 01 BMW 3 series, it’s sitting in his yard not running.

    Sad part, he knows vehicles, he is definitely mechanically inclined.

    It’s not bad luck when it keeps happening over and over.

    Oh you're here in ABQ?
    So far I dig it. Time will tell. It'll cost me $1600 to break my current one, not a big deal.
    Yeah, be curious to see how different the weather is. Sure is beating the hell out of choking on smoke like I have been the last few weeks

    TBD
    I'm about 1.5-2 hours north of ABQ -- I hit Santa Fe more often than ABQ but ABQ has the bigger airport.

    I'll be down at the Outpost (hockey rink) for a tournament in a couple of weeks; planning on getting some running in along the Sandias.

    Weather here is a lot like CO. Though ABQ is hotter than up here (I'm at ~7500').

    Oh cool! Neighbors :laugh: I won't be back until Labor Day. Got a full day ahead of me tomorrow of exploring down to Bosque de Apache and then get back for some apartment tours in the afternoon in the north end of town. Honestly the weather isn't that much different than Boise.

    Wow...Hot Wheels really fucked that one up

    Toyota-styling (when you include the stripes) on an unreliable Stellantis POS

    It's only a few hours away now! We'll have to see how green truck is after I get it down here. Going to put some mods back on it in a couple weeks in Seattle, no more sliders and on street tires for now

    Oh yea! I think you’ll benefit from it being a bit more off-road usable now. Even a factory look/function. Still capable and extremely practical.

    Exactly, be good for day excursions and Still be decent around town. Gonna look beat which probably isn't a bad thing, no front bumper, dented up body, mid matches canopy, bent rear bumper... just my style. Still the van has its place, it reigns king for comfortable camping especially down here in the desert. Going to get my fill of it for sure.

    Best of both worlds. Both equally reliable. Let’s freakin wheel!

    @Wulf
    @Speedytech7

    Both of you got me into Fallout (video games) and that shit was fun AF

    Made me enjoy the show even more once they released it

    But, Borderlands is releasing a movie now?

    Never played the video games, were they any good?

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
    I like it there. It's 4.5 hours from there to Silverton CO or 4.5 hours to Flagstaff AZ -- good central location for points west.

    That's one of the things I saw that I liked about it. Lots of stuff within a few hours. Never made it this far on my normal adventure so I get to start with a clean slate for everything.

    first game is definitely worth checking out, the gameplay and story are both pretty unique in the pfs genere...the 2nd/3rd are less so but still fun
