Had an OVRLND topper made to order and installed in Flagstaff. Then camped in it. (Actually on March 19th. I'm... somewhat behind on posting. :turtleride:) https://campovrlnd.com/ Many great nights since. I think I'll keep it.

You can pick up a set on Amazon for $100. I just wrapped some blue painters tape around my drill bit as a stop. Not too much pressure, you’ll be ok.

I recognize the new g003’s because I’ve run them myself but what tire is that you’re taking off? Don’t recognize the tread pattern, looks nice though.

"Hard" drill stops are sold that clamp into the bit and do more than just show depth ... if you really want to put full protections in place.

I did not say you chose the wrong path, just that "hard stops" exist for those who do not trust their reactions.

EDIT: you can also use a scrap piece of wood on top of the tire to prevent the drill bit from accidental drill damage.

Today I installed a blue Mishimoto silicone intake tube and the TRD air accelerator. I haven't test driven yet and may not for a few days because I had to finish up work then me and wifey went to buy her new car, 2024 Lexus RX350 AWD Premium, so I'm sure she will want to take that everywhere we go for a while.

Curious about your thoughts after you drive it for awhile. I already have the TRD accelerator, been thinking about buying the Mishimoto silicone intake tube.

Nice - we got a used 2023 in Crested Copper a few months back. The 4 cyl turbo seems (sounds?) a bit anemic (we traded in a ’13 with the 3.5L V6) but the increased MPGs are appreciated.

I have a we boost in 2 of 3 vehicles and living in Appalachia they are definitely used. On the occasion that I’m in the vehicle without one I miss it. I guess I need to pony up the money and buy another one.

On the expensive side, but worth it the one time you need it.

    Yeah.
Nah. Kinda looks cool. Probably zero sum on gas mileage with the slight lift you'll get.

I don't expect any performance boost, mainly just a bit more sound from the intake which is all I was looking for. The blue one was on sale for something like $140 so I thought it was worth trying, install was as easy as it can get too.
I have only been a passenger so far, which is odd enough because normally I drive us everywhere even in her car, but I know what you mean with the sound of the motor. Still under 100 miles so things have plenty of breaking in to go, which can change the feel and sound of the motor and exhaust. It's so quiet compared to anything else we ever owned as far as road noise, even opening and closing windows you can't hear the window motors operating. She is incredibly happy so it doesn't matter what I think about it anyway!
