Thanks, I appreciate it. Just a few weird moments like backing into driveway at full turn to right, full to the left, but just on fender liners...

Slight question since this seems like the thread to ask it in. Believe it or not I have read over most of all of these 333 pages and drawn some good inspiration but still have a few questions due to not being to versed in aftermarket suspensions, tires, etc. I would like to run 255/85/16s on Toyota OEM steel wheels (part #42601-AD030) In addition i have ordered and plan on putting on the Westcott Designs 3/1 level kit (heresy, I know. Go ahead and yell about the spacers I don't blame you :)) This kit should be fine for my use. Truthfully its mainly looks but relatively often I'm on packed dirt or gravel forest roads. My main questions, anyone here with similar base model access cab trucks running a similar setup, and can I safely assume the tires on OEM Yota steelies which are +30 offset I believe, have minimal if any rubbing depending on what brand of tire I roll with? Sorry for the scattered questions. Thanks folks

I put a tune (OTT) before I put the 33's on, not that you need it(although my shifting points are actually WAY better). I have had no issues.

    Not required but wouldn't hurt.

    It is partially why I run 32" - 235/85/16

I have the same size as well, its really what most tacoma owners need just wont win the parking lot princess award. Skinny 33 is nice but also an extra 15-20lbs per corner wish there were more options, I have e rated XT's that are 40lbs.

I get it, you are correct that it wouldn't hurt...though my F WP's AT/4's are rated C, they are 58+lbs...great tire, cuts through flooded pools of water in ENC, and mud like its not there...but if I didn't have OTT, I might be at 15 mpgs...Im at 19, was at 23 before skinnys w/ tune...in ENC, skinnys don't win "princess" award on 16's...u gotta be on 23's+, with wheel spacers, -30+ offset, and 6" lift
... so, I have skinnies with 5100's, 2", but no princess here, Uhwarrie just a few hours away,lol...but I get it @Nyrob

I live just north of Charlotte next time you go give me a ring, been here about 3 1/2 years and only made the trip to uwharrie once when i was bone stock down to the tires. I have a regeared 4 banger that is why i kept the tire size to a minimal, i may try out some 255's at some point it drives great did not want to add more weight but if i had the 3.5 i would have 255's already. 235's with a lift can look a little small at certain angles but its just hard to sacrifice more mpg and driveability.

    Hey Gents!

I’m in Monroe, if you’re headed to Uwharrie, hit me up. I’ve been out a few times on a stock OR, with some good wheeling experience beforehand. Just did my DIY Trail Edition Lift today and will probably join the tall skinny club in my next set!
