Sick. The wifey likes the look and gave the nod of approval. Thinking I might need to order a pair of upper and lower powdercoated black grills just as soon as I get my slider situation handled. CAN'T WAIT!!!

can anyone clarify what he means by the satoshi insert and the grill itself. If you buy the grill you get the whole entire thing. Or can i just buy the satoshi insert and used it on my 2011 factory grill? these look very cool and am interested in one but just a little confused as to which pieces i should get. And how do i get one? I know its' a group buy, but looking at the post dates is back in january. any help thanks.

The satoshi is a recessed grill that you have to do body work to do a search for satoshi mod for more info.

As for the regular insert it uses your factory grill you have to cut out the center and bolt the new mesh. I would recommend finding a 05-10 grill because it will be a bit more easy, less cuts and better mount points. One other member and myself have done it on a 11 so it can be done it's just a bit more work!

I have 8 of the bolt together at the powder Coater right now and the list of options is above your post

Thanks tim if you have anymore questions there is a ton of info on fitment in this thread

This is an extremely noobie question and not entirely sure what "satoshi" means, but what is the difference between the "upper tacoma grille" and the "satoshi insert" you are selling?

Ignore my post above, I figured it out. The "upper tacoma grille" sits flush and the "satoshi" sits further backs.

I think I might have missed this, but can the rivet heads be powder coated as well on the grille insert?

Ah, ok, thanks. I'm trying to keep all chrome away from my truck so I'll have to wait until next time around and get the regular black insert. Thanks!
