Yea, I just finished reading a book by keith jones, and he actually went into detail about the hit to lindros, apparently he saw it coming, lindros was skating up the ice, head down, keith yelled for him to get his head up when stevens finished him off.

In his era there was no tougher player than Scott Stevens. I was fortunate to watch him play for the Caps.

 

Yea, I caught the end of his career during the Flyers legion of doom time. He is the player every team wishes they had.

 

The thing that gets me about Stevens is watching those hits he made and comparing them to today.

Back then he was loved by many for laying down the boom, now we would all crucify him for being a headshot artist.....
